I'm So Excited, I Just Can't Hide It....

9-24-05....Me and my little human are kickin' it at Mamaw's house when I hear Mommy's SUV pull into the drive. For some reason, Mamaw takes us onto the back deck & makes me "Stay". I see Mommy & Daddy coming...but wait...what the...NO THEY DIDN'T JUST BRING A NEW BABY UP HERE! I am in sheer & utter shock. I prance around with my tail up so they'll know I AM NOT HAPPY. Then I hear it, a soft whimper...my resolve faulters & my heart is....SO HAPPY! A new toy! She can run & bark & everything. This is just the coolest toy ever! I've never seen such a thing! Why have I never had one of these before? I chase her- she chases me, I roll her across the grass & she comes back for more! She bites me- I knock her down with my paw, then I chase her- she chases me....

What's so funny, anyway?!

Why does everyone laugh at me? When I get to "GO!" & stick my head out of the window, people point & laugh. YES, my cheeks flop & YES, my ears go straight out to the side. What's so funny about that? Then I go for the more subtle look by lying my face on the door frame & looking sweet but they laugh at that too. YES my face looks twice as wide when I do this, but is THAT so funny too? I don't get it........

I AM NOT SPOILED!

Today, my Mommy made me get up at 10:30 to go potty outside. Is it not bad enough that I have to share MY king-sized bed? Just because everyone else has been up for a while, does that mean I should be up too? Then I am forced into having my eyes wiped getting hugs & sugies, again SO EARLY! I had a busy day of alternating sleeping on the loveseat & sleeping on the patio. This evening I had to go outside & do my "Run Cookie, Run, Run, Run!!" thing. SO undignified, but kinda fun anyway. Now I'm inside on the loveseat again, waiting patiently for Mommy to say "Come to bed Cookie Monster". I was really hoping for an easy day today, maybe tomorrow.........
