Arrival Story:
My oldest daughter and I had been looking in the paper for a miniature dachshund for their step-fathers birthday, and she saw this one on the computer and called. The lady said she sold all of them, but before we hung up she said she had this one double dapple with a bad eye. I told her thank you and hung up. Kayla talked me into meating this lady to look at this three month puppy that weight only 2 and ahalf pounds. It was in January and cold. The lady brought a long haired 3 month that was a standard, and Kayla grabed her and held her for a long time and didn't want to hold this little frail puppy I was holding. I told she if she held her she wouldn't want to put her down. I was so right. I was worried about her eye and didn't know anything about double dapples and called my vet. He explained that double dapples are born without eyes, or ears, or blind or deft or even both. I told him about her eye and he said the way he sees it is God gave them two eyes just incase something happened to one. That did it and she came home with us and right to the vet's to be checked out. She was just perfect. She was my husbands suprise birthday present. The way we saw it both girls and I had our own dog and thought he should have his. Well she knows she is his (his little shadow) , and she is just a little BRATT that we all love.
