Arrival Story:
Found her through an ad at work asking for temporary care of a GSD for six months. The family was splitting up and moving, and the little girl didn't want to give up the doggie she received for her birthday. At first, my husband wasn't sure about her. He considered her too big (but she wasn't even a year old yet). My definition of big was different, having been raised around great danes (Sasha's "cousins" tom tom, honey, socks, polar, dresser, chum, buddy and holly). She quickly won him over and they are inseperable. Over time, the old family weren't that interested anymore (visits promised, but never materialized; financial support for care, etc. etc.) Anyway, six months turned into seven... and the day they came to pick her up, they said she could stay. Well, OF COURSE! However, being abandonned by her family hit her hard, and despite all the love and attention in our home, she remains a bit anxious and unsure of herself.

Bio:
She is sable and likely a cross between american and european lines. Through visits to kennels, trainers and parks, she may be from a local kennel in Gatineau -- we may have even met some brothers and sisters. Still looking for more info on lineage.
