6 Months on.....

It was 6 months last Sunday since my beautiful girl Minnie passed on . Its been very hard. Im just starting to get out a bit and do things again. Her ashes travel with me wherever I go and she will travel in my heart forever. Love you and miss you Babe..XXOO

Very sad news...

My beautiful baby girl Minnie developed liver disease 6 months ago- she has been diabetic for almost 2 years. She became very sick very suddenly last Sunday and on Monday morning our vet came to our house and helped my girl to her final rest in my arms. It was the worst day of my life. Minnie is safe now, no more sickness or stress with vet visits. My heart is broken into tiny pieces. She was/is my whole world and only family. I love you Babe- now and forever....

Update !

Well its almost a year since Minne got diabetes. She had cataracts removed on both eyes on Oct 7th- so worrying-major surgery but it went ok. She needs eye drops 3 times a day. Her sugar levels are good. Who knows what the future holds-we just live one day at a time.

Our Birthdays are coming up !

My baby Minnie will be 5 next month and her Momma will be 54-only a week apart. Minnie's doin' great with her diabetes. We havent been away this year because of her uncertain health- but we have a cottage by the beach in Northumberland booked for next May. Minnie says Momma is gonna get some recent pics of her on here soon for all her pals to see her !

Update on us !

Well its 6 months since Minnie was diagnosed as diabetic and she's doing GREAT ! Lost weight down to a healthy one, on a strict diet, having her insulin jab every morning, and vet is very pleased. We are enjoying life so much just now and cherishing every day as it happens. Not going away on holiday this year but providing her good health continues, will get away back to Scotland next spring.
Her 5th and my 54'th birthdays are coming up in September so we will celebrate together as always.

My precious baby Minnie is diabetic !!

Im devastated- 2 weeks ago Minnie was diagnosed with diabetes. It was so hard to take in. 2 weeks down the road , shes getting an insulin jab in the morning, on a controlled diet, but other than that is full of energy and you wouldnt think there was anything wrong with her. I worry about cataracts, blindness, and other complications ; but for now Im enjoying every moment with her and taking one day at a time. I trust my vet so am following his advice. I think we have caught it early so she doesnt appear to have developed any other illness so far.
I will keep all of our pals informed !

Lazy Momma !!

Gosh my Minnie turned 3 in September so her Momma is gonna download some recent pics over this weekend. We are enjoying our life together so much- still going to the beach every Saturday and Sunday. Itll soon be Xmas and Momma has 10 days off work to hang out with her Gal !

Mommas Birthday

Gosh weve had a great day- beach run this morning- then moochin in the garden for a few hours; our friend Ivor came round for a BBQ- then a walk to the dog park; now its wind-down time- computer stuff; tv.......... its a hard life !!!!

Our Special Days Nearly here !

Minnies Momma- thats me- has her barkday on September 11th- thats Sunday-our friend is taking us to the beach in the morning. Minnies day is September 18th - shes 2 then- its been a wonderful 2 years- best of my life- THANK YOU to my Special Gal !!We are going to Scotland next week so we will celebrate Minnies special day on the beach again !
