Leave a bone for Riley (RIP 1/2/08)

Riley Elizabeth McGilicuttie (when Mom is mad at me) Little Foot, Johnny Underfoot, Doodle Bug, Riley Bug, or just Bug. And sometimes Derek Zoolander... because he's "Really, really goodlooking."

Sun Sign:
Quick Bio:

December 15th 1998

Lovins, huggins & squeezins. Cat turd pate, Greenies and treats galore.

When I'm comfortably a'snooze on the bed and Mom barges in, turns on the light and uses her mean voice to shag me off, just because she needs somewhere to sleep.

Favorite Toy:
My ropey-monkey (I ate his legs & arms and hair right off!) my flat pig, and my lobster (which Mommy calls my "robster"). I have a new favorite toy every Christmas, and like it the most when I can just sit and gnaw on my Nylabones.

Favorite Food:
Anything edible, and sometimes things that are not. While I will certainly eat anything, Mom & Dad had to learn the hard way that cucumbers are NOT good for doggies.

Favorite Walk:
I never walk far... I prefer a laid back lifestyle. Though I can be persuaded to follow my nose to food (i.e. garbage bags, little nibbles tossed out of car windows and of course those buried cat turds).

Arrival Story:
I fell in love with a Bernese Mountain Dog named Bear while working at an animal hospital. I was inspired to seek out a dog just like him, because I felt we were kindred spirits. My search began and ended with Riley, who flew in from Idaho just 2 weeks later!

Riley is a part of the SPCA of Central Florida's Pet Visitation Program. He goes to visit Make-a-Wish kids at Give Kids the World each month. He loves the attention and flops over for huggins & scratchins the whole time. He is a certified foot warmer and a leaner extraordinaire. Riley is neutered, and he hopes you are, too!

How old and how big

Riley started getting sick in October '07 & mountains of testing & treatments later, we lost him on Jan. 2 '08 to what the docs are pretty sure was Malignant Histiocytosis. Godspeed, big dog. You are in our hearts and sorely missed.
