Well it came back twice, so surgery was the only answer. Believe me this was very traumatic, all the needles, an IV and staples all over my chest (they had to shave all of my red gold hair off my chest and tummy.) It’s been 6 weeks since all of this happened. I’m feeling like a puppy again, eating everything in sight, taking long walks and loving every minute of it and my hair is finally growing back. I love life!

Everything was going smoothly in my life, great ball catching, great walks, great food, everything great..........Then I got sick and boy was I sick, couldn't eat, barely able to take walks, coughing, you name it. We went to the vet he did all kinds of tests and found nothing conclusive, thought I might have Cancer. That really shook up my family! Everybody upset, crying and me feeling real sick. The folks heard of the vets at UC DAVIS Veterinary School and how great they were. So off we went to Davis (100 miles each way and me feeling sick as a dog!) Met some nice people , my new doctor was a really nice lady who belived in TLC boy did I eat that up. She decided I should stay over night for all kinds of tests. When my folks were leaving I had done something I've never done before.........started crying. Christina the student vet assured my folks she would look out for me and she did, we became great friends The end result was I had something called a Pericardial Effusion, (fluid forming in the sac around the heart) causing all my problems, it was drained.......boy did I feel better. They said if it comes back I would need HEART SURGERY!
