I Resent the Accusation

No one saw me do it, so why should I be accused of transporting the mouse trap (complete with dead mouse) to the middle of the kitchen floor? I resent the accusation. Do I look like someone who would perpetrate such a foul deed? I'm an intellectual, for heavens sakes. I play chess (or at least I have my picture taken in front of a chess board.) There must be some other explanation for the mouse trap moving to the middle of the floor.

The End of the Mouse Story

A package came containing many little mouse houses. They were different from the "live catch "houses. My dad was careful to put them where I couldn't reach them. There does not seem to be any more mice in our house. The unused houses have been put aside. My parents hope we don't have to use them again.

The Case of The Missing Trap

Dad set a "live catch trap" baited with one of my favorite foods (peanut butter.) He returned for lunch to check on it. The trap was GONE! He wondered if the mouse could have moved the whole thing somewhere. His search continued into the living room. There was the trap, in many pieces, in the middle of my corral of toys. I was blamed. Why? The big question is "Was the mouse in the trap before the trap was moved to the living room?"

Definitely Not Calm

My ears were assaulted with one of mom's high pitched sounds. "AAAAHHHH, why is it I'm the only one who has seen the mouse?" she inquired while standing in the kitchen. "Axel, aren't you interested just a little bit?"

I cocked my head to one side while surveying my kingdom. Then I sauntered over to sniff the area where she was pointing. Yes, I do smell mouse, but there's no movement. Everything seems fine to me.

July 4th, Mokey's Birthday

I miss you Moke. You would have been 12 years old today.

Take Your Dog To Work Day

All four of my humans work outside the home and not one of them has mentioned taking me to work. O.K., my picture is displayed at mom's job, but that's not the same as setting my four paws and bark inside the place. I'm jealous of all you pups who will be helping out at their humans' jobs. Have fun!

Meeting Ruby

My sister Ruby and I had a practice meeting before my big family reunion. She and I barked at each other. Then we took a short run together. We have to meet again because my mom needs some more practice taking pictures. I hope she gets better at taking pictures before I meet the rest of my family!

Family Reunion!

I am SO excited! I received a message from my sister Kodi and she is planning a family reunion with my other sister, Ruby, and mom, Fahren. She asked if I would like to come too. My answer is Yes!

What's the Problem?

I borrowed a pillow from the living room sofa to take outside for awhile. Mom came screaming out the door like a bat out of some hot place and took the pillow from me. What's the problem? How can a canine guy fully enjoy lying in the grass without a pillow for his furry head?

Today is my birthday! Lucky me. My parents gave me an extra doggie treat and a white squeaky lamb.
