All About ME
Busted!June 6th 2010 4:48 am[ Leave A Comment | 2 people already have ] I committed a very serious crime and now my folks will not take me to the park. It all started on a brisk day in March. My folks and I were enjoying an early morning outing. We were almost at the very end of our walk, at the edge of the field, when I saw two intruders arriving at the other side of the park. Unfortunately, I saw them before my pawents saw them and could command me to come and stay. I was off like the wind and completely deaf to their calls, commands, screams. The two dogs were off leash and their owner did not call them to him. He said later he had completely misread me and never thought I would place my entire mouth around the neck of one of his dogs and pin him down. His other dog (the larger lab mix) hid behind his owner. After I pinned the dog down, I heard my folks calling and ran to them. They were still so far away the man had time to check out his dogs, put them in his car, and walk down a hill to meet my parents. As you can imagine, he was very shaken up and yelled at my pawents for allowing me to be off leash. He calmed down when my pawrents were even more upset than he and wanted to pay to have his dog seen by a vet. The man said he checked out his dog who seemed to be OK (and was barking his outrage along with his brother from the safety of the car.) My pawrents assured him they were taking this incident very seriously. They have not taken me to the park again. No second chances for me. Busted.
Leave A Comment | 2 people already have Dude, this is very serious! "Tasting" other dogs is BAD! Would your humans take you to the park if you are on a leash? You are a criminal, but you still need your exercise... I just know you were protecting your Pawrents Axel... Mom and Dad don't take Dozer either cuz even though he is good with people... he thinks he ownes ME and has a dog agression if another dog even looks at me..... He is not well so Mom and Dad think it is better he stays home... I hope when your Pawrents get over the shock of your outburst...maybe they will take you on leash. Besides... I am positive that dog must have said something to make you mad.... Hugs Axel xoxox Sasha |
