Leave a bone for Guy

Nicknames: Moose, Big Fat Moose, Super-Guy, Guy-Guy, Sprinkle-butt, Sweet Fat Pickle, Fruit Booty, Banana-head, Big G, Chocolate Ear, Sausage-girl, Bean, Death Breath, Gruffalo.

Quick Bio:
 Birthday: December 24th 1989
Likes: Playing, eating, sleeping, farting, pooping, giving kisses, having couch-time, mouse-hopping in the snow, playing "reach-for-it!" with the light-up ball, being with my little sister, Lily.

Pet-Peeves: Being in quarantine. Not getting what I want right away, especially when what I want is food. Going to the vet. Salt and other ice melters that hurt my tender toes. International travel in cargo - very scary, as well as demeaning!

Favorite Toy: Red light-up ball. Red light-up ball. Red light-up ball.

Favorite Food: Cheese, cheese, and more cheese! Also, turkey, gravy, crackers, chicken, apples, challah, tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, grapes, and Greenies. Sometimes mail, towels, pillows, and books.

Favorite Walk: Jamaica Pond, Larz Anderson Park, Fort Hunt Park, and anywhere in Teaneck, the Berkshires, Oundle, Wadenhoe, .

Best Tricks: Looking pathetic so I get treats! My brown ear is the source of all my powers. I bet you didn't know that, but it's true.

Arrival Story: I was badly abused by my owners. When I was 7, they decided to take me to the vet to be put down, and told the vet it was because I was worthless and useless. The vet told them he'd euthanize me, but instead he called bull terrier rescue and they came and got me. My mom had adopted Lily, and her parents decided to adopt a bully, too - me! But I went over to meet Lily one day, and it was love at first sight; I knew I couldn't live without her. When it was time to go home, I cried and cried and tried to scratch my way out of the car to get back to her! She's been my little sister and my best friend ever since.

Bio: After a difficult year, we lost Guy on December 22, 2006, just two days shy of her 17th birthday. She experienced a stroke or a seizure in the wee hours of the morning, and we rushed her to Alexandria Animal Hospital. Although it was an incredibly difficult and devastating decision to make, we felt that it was her time, and that putting her to sleep was the right thing to do. The veterinary staff were empathetic and supportive of our decision, and made her comfortable while we said our goodbyes. She was surrounded by loving family members - including her grandma - and was sweet and wonderful to the end. We know that she is with her beloved sister, Lily, but we are bereft.
