This year was a fun year for me. Christmas finally came and I've never been so happy in my life. So many treats, clothes, goodies, and craziness!!!
This year, Mommy and Tita Tam prepared so much for Chibi and me. They got Chibi the cutest white doggie stockings and filled it with treats. I helped Mommy wrap gifts for my pet pals, Gizmo, Tootsie, and Twinkie. But I wanted to open the gifts myself too!!! Too bad Mommy placed them so high I couldn't reach to get them.
On Christmas eve, Mommy secretly placed some treats in my stockings. She didn't think I was looking but I went near her and saw me staring at the stockings. I tried to stare at it for a while hoping it would drop but Mommy made sure it didn't fall on my feet... too bad!!! Mommy finally told me to stop staring after 15 mins because it was making her nervous that I might try to attack the stockings.... hehehe I knew there's no such thing as Santa!!! It was Mommy all along.
That evening, I get to open the first gift. They gave me this messed up wrapping and I can hear it squeek. I knew it was for me... so I tried to open it as soon as I can with the help of Tita Tam and Tita Meg. I finally got to my toys and so everyone started to get their presents too! The best one I got was the box of treats from Tita Tam. Mommy gave me one raw hide to chew on and I did that on top of all their gifts. Mommy tried to push me away but no.. I'm not budging!!! I love Christmas because I get so many things to eat. After Christmas, I've been going to my friend's place giving their gifts to them. It's so much more fun playing with them than opening the gifts. Gizmo was more interested in the gift wrappers than the gift. Next year.. I'll give him a ball of paper.
A few days later, Grandma Anna and Tito Brian, Tito Robby, and Tita Brianna sent us a package of clothes for both Chibi and I. We got the same color and style and of course Mommy had to do a fashion show with us wearing our new outfits. I heard cousin Jade got the same thing. Aren't they cool? They're just the sweetest Grandma and Aunt/Uncle in the world.
Chibi on the other hand was a different story... I don't think she gets the idea of Christmas. She was scared and shaking. Go read her diary to see what she has to say for herself.

Just this past weekend, Mommy had cousins sleepover and one of her guests was her cousin from Frisco, Tita Geri. I've never met Tita Geri and she brought along her baby Mocha (a 4-yr old shih tzu). Mocha was quiet and nice. She never bothered me, in fact, she ignored Chibi and me. I was fine with that until more people and more dogs came to my house. Tita Michelle brought over her friend's two dogs and one of them was a mean mean pomeranian named Jewels. I think Chibi barked at them first, then the Pom got angry and started to bark non-stop. I tried to tell both of them to stop and be quiet but only Chibi listened. The pom kept barking back to me so I kept barking at her. She did not want to stop and she wanted to attack me. Her brother, a white small dog, (pedigree unknown) named Jasper, was trying to make her stop but she would not stop. So I was really getting angry and if Mom wasn't there to stop me, I would have fought back. I was really angry and I wanted Jewels to leave. Chibi was angry too. I noticed Mocha was staying away from the drama. She was just chillin' with the toys... smart dog... heheheh.
When the two dogs finally left, I was still angry that I didn't want anyone to come near me... especially Mommy. I don't know why she invited the mean Pom. That night of the sleepover, I wanted to sleep with Tita Geri but Mocha is already there with her. So I just slept with Tita Megan instead even if she snores alot and takes my blanket. I just didn't want to sleep with Mom.
The next day, I was feeling pretty good so I woke up Mom for my potty break. She took Mocha and I outside to do our business, then she allowed us to play in the backyard while the rest of the snoring girls were sleeping. When Mocha and I were ready to wake the rest of the girls, we went back inside and started to wake them one by one. Chibi was cranky because she thought Mocha was one of the mean dogs so she started growling at her. She also started growling at Tita Geri but I put a stop to that, I barked back at her.
So later that day, Jasper, the white dog came back to visit without the Pom. I'm still angry at Jasper but he's friendly so I left him alone. That evening, Gizmo and Twinkie (the shih tzus) came over to play but Gizmo wasn't in a playful mood and Twinkie wasn't interested in playing with me. I was sad. When they all finally left last night, including Mocha and Tita Geri, I was alone with Chibi again and things are back to normal. Its funny because Mocha didn't seem to be stressed out or anything. She was just minding her own business. Maybe I should be more like her.
Anyway, I got over being angry at Mommy especially since all her attention is on me again. Chibi seems to be over stressed because she started shaking again. We usually sleep past midnight but by 9pm, we were so tired we're practically sleeping everywhere. That was one stressful weekend for me and Chibi.

Let me tell you about my experience with Puppy Training! My mom decided to get me trained after having me for 3 months. I guess I was too much of a mischief for her to handle. Anyway, she signed me up for puppy training at the world famous PetSmart Pet Training course for puppies. We went every Thursday at 8pm and my instructor was a nice, old man. Oh, I look forward to my class every week because I get to see my friends.
So my first day in class was very exciting for me. There were three of us pups. There was Yola the baby pitbull and Max the half Yorkie. So all three of us just played the whole hour. I didn't even know that we're suppose to be doing tricks but give a pup a break.. it's my first day of class. Our trainer told mommy to train me at home. Make me sit and lay down. I already know how to do that so I really didn't want to have to do that while I have new friends to play with.
So the next following classes, I really didn't pay attention much. I was too busy wanting to play with Yola. Yola pretends she doesn't know me so she'll get a treat from her mommy, but I know she really wants to play "head inside mouth" game... just that it's always my head inside her mouth instead of the other way around. Oh well, it's a game and I like playing with her. After each class, Mommy and Tita would try to train me alone at home. I listen to them because they give me the best treats. They practice on me all the time until I can do the tricks just be hand gestures.... they don't even have to say it. Yup, I'm that good. Its funny to see Mommy's reaction everytime we go to class. She tells my trainer that I can do it at home but can't understand why I don't do it in class....hehehe I'm trying to trick Mom. I just don't want to play instead of studying.. Mom should understand because she's the same!!!
Anyway, after 8 weeks, my graduation day arrived. Yipee!!! No more classes!!! But before I can leave, I have to show my trainer the tricks that I learned. Boy, was the test hard!!! I should have paid more attention. I had to sit, stay, lay, walk, leave it, and come, on command!!! I just want to play with my friends. But Mommy was determined to get me to pass. I did most of the tricks except for come and my trainer wasn't happy about that. I just gave him my puppy face and he decided to pass me anyway... heheheh Mom was happy about that, too! I passed, I passed!!! We took pictures and I get to have lots of treats.
A week after, I was expecting Mom to take me to PetSmart. We didn't even leave the living room. What happened? I don't get to see Yola and Max anymore? I miss going to puppy classes. Oh well, Mommy takes me to Doggie Meetups anyway!!! Well, she tries to take me to meetups when she has the time. I get to meet other small dogs like myself. So I guess I don't really miss going to classes. Maybe next year Mommy might take me to the advance course... hahaha Good luck, Mom!!!

My party was the BOMB!!! We celebrated it on April 1st which was on a Saturday! My real b-day was on Friday, March 31 but Mommy thinks no one will come if I had my party on that day. So Tita Tammee and Mommy organized my party by inviting a few of my closest friends and their parents, of course. Tita did my party cake which is made out of entirely dog-friendly ingredients. She slaved on this cake for hours until the finally it came out as pretty as it can be. Mommy found the ingredients from a website http://www.dogbirthdaysandparties.com and got some ideas from there too!!! For my friend's parents, Tita and Mom made finger foods which is all fondue, crepes, and pizza. It was fun for both my pup-pals and their families who came. Chibi and I dressed up for the party in the outfits Mommy bought us... a birthday gift from Mom. My friend Tootsie came all dressed up as well. It was fun to see all of my friends which included Twinkie and Gizmo. Chibi wasn't happy about it because she got jealous. But we forced her to stay around so she'll get used to the other dogs around. She kept barking and growling at everyone and gave Mommy, grandma, and Tita Tam scratches in their arms. She got a time-out for that. She later calmed down and had fun..
Most of my friends got tired by the end of the day so they practically just flopped down on the floor and take-in the cool air. Some of them got hungry so we started eating the treats that was given to us. We also ate my yummy cake and had home-made ice-cream to go with it. Tootsie and Twinkie practically gobbled up their food and even had seconds... and thirds!!! Good thing they brought their appetites to my party, otherwise there's plenty of food left. By the end of the day, we were all partied out. My friends eventually left but they didn't leave empty handed. Tita made party bags for them which had treats and toys to take home. Plus, they get to take home some of my delicious cake. I hope their parents don't accidently eat the cake... hehehehe!! I had some pictures taken with them which is also in my Photo Album... please check it out!!! Oh, I got cool gifts too!!! Tootsie gave me a doggy gift bag with lots of treats and a brush/massager... Gizmo gave me a stylish sweater and toy (I broke it in less than 10 mins)... and Twinkie gave me a sweet kiss (more like a lick!).
I had so much fun with all my friends that I slept very early that evening... by 9pm I'm snoozing away!!! So if you are planning on having a party, check out that website that Mommy just posted and you'll get some tips and tricks for a cool puppy party!!!

About 3 months ago, I scared my Mommy by dropping a tooth by her feet. She panicked and didn't know what to do. She immediately went online using that little box with pictures of me to see if that's normal (which it is) and just tried to see if anything's wrong with me. She even called the my scary Vet doctor. Soon after, I've been dropping a tooth or two a day. Mommy actually collected all of them and placed them in a special basket for the Doggie Tooth Fairy to take. She said that for every tooth that I give her, the Doggie Tooth Fairy will give me $0.50 plus a treat. It's $0.50 because of the inflation of gas prices... that's what Mommy said. So every day for the past 3 weeks, I've been giving Mommy my loose teeth. She'll then give me a soft treat to chew on and then the money will go to my Christmas fund. Would you believe that I made $10 from the Doggie Tooth Fairy? Now I have money to buy my friends Christmas gifts. I actually started to have new teeth and I'm still waiting for them to get loose but Mommy said they're permanent so they'll stay on forever. Sad that I won't be making money that way. So instead I made a deal with Mommy that for every sock that I pull out of her feet, I get paid $0.25. That way I have some money for Christmas next year. I do this for Grandma, Auntie and Daddy whenever he visits. Soon, I'll be a rich dog!!!

Mommy likes to dress me up. She buys all these clothes for me and the latest one are shoes. She got me shoes yesterday and she made me try them on. Now, let me just tell you how uncomfortable those shoes are and how they make me walk funny. I don't know what's funny about my walk but Mommy, Grandma and Auntie seems to be laughing at me alot. They even video taped my funny walk. I couldn't sit down nor lay down. Those shoes made me sound like a horse.. oh yeah, Auntie said that I even walk like a horse too!!! Now, those shoes are just torture!!! I hope Mommy doesn't make me wear them anymore. But there is a good thing about wearing those shoes.. I get to eat alot of treats for being a good sport about it. I didn't even take them out.. I just walked and walked until all three of them are in tears from laughing. I don't see the point of wearing them anyway, I stay inside the house all the time. Mommy.. she just doesn't get it!!!

Just over two months ago, mommy went to the dog park with me. It was quite an experience for me. I saw and met so many dogs and puppies in all shapes and sizes. I know it was an experience for mommy too. There are dogs bigger than mommy and I saw one dog who is as big as a pony. But I still wanted to play with him.. Mommy won't let me because she's afraid he'll make a snack out of me. The best part about the dog park is getting to meet and play with my kind.. the Yorkies. Mommy met a couple who has 3 Yorkies and they're all smaller yet older than I am. Mommy talked to the owners and found out that if she cut the hairs around my ears.. my ears will stay up. See Mommy didn't know that because she's been putting tape around my ears to keep it up. But the hair cutting helped and I feel alot better without those sticky tape around my ears. I really hate those tape.. they stick to my nose too!!! So that night after the dog park, Mommy cut the hair around my ears and from then on, my ears stayed perky up. See going to the dog park not only helped Mommy but it also helped me.. plus I get to play all the time. I love dog parks!!!

Things to do to drive my mommy crazy:
1. Run up and down the stairs right before we sleep - well, that's my exercise, can I help it if I sleep all day and get the energy to play at night?
2. Eat walking - you see I like to digest my food faster by walking while I chew, then I go back for more. I actually eat faster that way.
3. Wake up before the alarm - I don't like that alarm clock, it scares me. So I wake mommy up before it rings so she can kill it.
4. Dinner play - I like to get my chew toys, sit next to mommy, and just stare at her with my toy in my mouth waiting for her to play grab and throw. I like to do this while she's having dinner.
5. Take over the bed - I like to sleep in the middle of the bed, right behind my mommy's back. This prevents her from rolling over and taking more bed space. Hey.. I'm a growing pup.. I need all the bed space I can get. Atleast I don't hog the blanket.
6. Greeting Crazy - I like to greet mommy's guests with enthusiasm. Mommy thinks its too much but I think it's not enough. I don't stop until the guest or mommy gives me a treat. I plan to be a cheerleader when I grow up.
7. Mocking Mommy - my mommy likes to sleep an extra hour or two in the morning even when I keep bugging her to wake up. So just to get her to wake up, I sleep next to her and move when she moves. Sometimes I move too much that mommy just gives up and wakes up early. Hey I need to get my breakfast when I want it, right?
8. "Come" - what does that mean? She keeps saying that but I don't understand it. Does it mean for me to stay where I'm at and not move at all? But I definitely know what "Treat" is.
9. Hair Gone Wild - Mommy likes to make me look presentable.. make me look like a girl. So she likes to put a bow or rubber band on my hair. I really don't like it so I rub my face all over the carpet until the bow is loose. Then mommy has no choice but to remove it. But she usually ends up putting it back on. You see, I like my hair all over my face. I like to hide my cuteness.
10. What's Yours is Mine, What's Mine is MINE - everything that mommy touches is automatically mine. She grabs my toy and I drop everything and grab that toy she has. She puts on her socks and I grab those from her as well. She gets her snacks and I automatically go to her and try to taste it too. Everytime she comes home with bags of stuffs, I sniff around to see if anything is for me. I like it when I get something out of it.

My mommy has finally got back into my dogster account so she can write some of my thoughts and antics.
I seem to be getting into a pattern now where my days are typically on a schedule. I would wake up in the morning next to my mommy and try my best to jump from the bed. Sometimes, mommy would wake up and prevent me from jumping down. She'll try to trick me into playing some hide and seek game with her until she gets tired and just lets me go down. I'd eat some breakfast and wait for her to actually get up.. usually after 15 - 30 mins. She loves to sleep in even during work days. As soon as she gets up.. she rushes downstairs to take me to my potty spot. I do my business privately and then I get cleaned up by mommy. Then she prepares my daily meal and water. She also gives me my vitamins and treats. Then mommy gets ready for work. Thirty minutes later, she comes down and plays with me for 10 mins, smothering me with kisses and hugs.. then *sob* she leaves me for hours until she comes home. I get excited whenever I hear noises outside and I start to call them to come in. But no one comes in.
Many naps later.. mommy comes home usually with some treats or toys and I get excited that I usually jump up and down to greet her. She kisses and hugs me and lets me jump on her lap until I'm tired. Then I get my treats after I do some tricks for her. She cleans me up and cleans my potty spot. Then she pretty much stays with me until it's bed time. We watch TV, play, and eat alot during the night. She even shares some of her snacks like popcorn, peanut butter, cheese, and gives me shaved ice when she's eating that too. When mommy gets tired.. we run upstairs to get ready for bed where she wipes me down with those bath wipes that I hate.. I try to run away but mommy usually catches me. She brushes my hair and cleans my eyes, ears, and paws. Then she prepares my midnight snack. After I eat my snack.. I jump into bed and I sleep next to my mommy. Then morning starts again. So it's pretty much routine now. I get so used to it that I know when it's snack time. It's usually my favorite time of the day.

My mommy's thoughts:
"It's amazing how one's life can change when one has a pet. I've never imagined my life with a dog, much less a puppy!!! I had alot in store for me when I decided to get a pet, my first one, due to the insistence of my boyfriend and sister. I never thought that it would totally change my perspective on dogs until I got Yuki. Everyone warned me about the responsibilites and expenses it takes to keep a pet and knowing this, I still decided to get one. I fell in love with her the moment I carried her but I had no idea how frustrating and tiring it is to take care of a puppy especially for a first timer. Not to mention the worries and anxiety that goes along with it. Yuki's first day was full of mixed emotions, kind of like, buying something big like a house or a car, you're happy but you're worried. I was beside myself about Yuki's lack of appetite and fear of basically anything. But thanks to the internet, I was able to read some information on how puppies act on their first day home. Yuki was sadden by the idea of being taken away from her siblings and parents. She was stressing about being in a new environment. We had to be with her day and night just to get her accustomed to us. The next day, we took her to see one of friend's dogs and that was when we noticed how playful she is. She ate pretty good that night and was even very playful with us. She was scared of our floor because she keeps sliding (she was used to carpet) but she got used to it later on. She eventually adjusted days after that... and so did I. One week later, she's like a normal puppy, playful, eager for attention, and very affectionate. Let me just say, if I had to do this all over again, I would do it without a doubt. Yuki just gave me and everyone else around me so much joy."
