Arrival Story:
My husband and I got married in October of 2004 and started looking for our first dog as a family, on our own. I was looking on petfinder.com and for some reason just typed in sheepdog, just to see what I'd find, not even suspecting I'd actually get a sheep dog. I looked for a few minutes and came across "Daisy May" an old english sheepdog mix. She was so fat and cute, that I called right away and made an appointment to go and see her that weekend. My husband and I drove an hour to Ocala to see her at her foster home. The foster mother brought her out on a leash and outside the fence to get her away from the other dogs. She was sooooooo cute and fatter than I'd imagined. She was terribly shy and kept her head down, but looked up at me with these huge brown eyes and put her big old fluffy little paw on me and it was love at first sight. She was horribly dirty and matted, and hadn't had any vet care from the so-called rescue. The place was filthy!!! We signed the papers and got her outta there pronto! I rode in the back seat with her and she curled up against me, facing away from me, but when i called her name she'd look at me. We got her groomed, vetted and all healthy and she became our baby. It took weeks for her to come outta her shell a bit. At first she just layed around behind the kitchen table, or behind the couch. Shes come out of her shell a lot. She is now the most loving, gentle little baby, and shes the love of our lives.

Bio:
Daisy is the sweetest dog in the world, she has huge, I mean HUGE, puppy dog eyes and the cutest underbite ever! She just loves to be loved and be near us. She tolerates little brother Jaspers playfulness with grace, and has even played with him TWICE, which is a huge deal for Daisy. I don't know what we'd do without her wiggle-butt waiting for us everyday when we got home!
