Arrival Story:
Otis needed a friend but as he doesn't get along with most dogs, this proved difficult. I was volunteering at a local shelter and he was one of the alternate dogs for an adoption event. I thought he was a little girl! The shelter said he was 10 months and almost fully grown. He was just a tiny thing and weighed 20 pounds. As it turns out, he was incorrectly aged. He was about 5 months old and he has grown to almost 80 pounds.

Bio:
Very sensitive to the moods of humans. He will insist on holding hands with you when you are sad. 6/8/2008 - Eddie has died of hemangiosarcoma. The day started really wonderfully for him. He slept with us on the bed all night and on the morning walk he and Otis wildly stalked a squirrel. Later in the morning he began to cough blood. The doctor who was to help him die at home was not in reach so we took him to the specialty clinic where he had his surgery. There were too many tumors in his lungs and they were exploding blood. He was sweet to the end. I laid with him on a blanket and held him and Matt held his paws. He went easily and he was loved. He is already missed.
