Well, we finally had a big birthday bash yesterday to celebrate one of my people's birthdays plus my ma-ma-in-law and papa-in-law birthday birthday too. AND I am totally, absolutely exhausted!
We grilled out for our birthday bash. They know how much I loooo-0ve the smell of grilling foods. Yum, yum. Except....this time, they had B-B-Q'd chicken. I'd never had that before and wasn't sure if I would like it, but hey, food is food. I wasn't going to knock extra din-din, ya know!
Everybody paid attention to me most of the day of course. I did some of my favorite tricks to please them. You know how those humans are, they think we are sooo smart if we shake a hand or two and lay down. Ha, boy do I have them fooled. My people kept trying to get me to roll over on the other side after being brushed. I know what they were wanting me to do, but HEY...
IT WAS MY DAY--I DIDN'T FEEL LIKE IT, OKAY! They finally gave up and went on to something else.
Wow, I had so many treats before the BBQ chicken that I was ready for bed way before dark. I did take a few doggy naps beforehand because it was getting to be toooo much for a guy like me.
After my BBQ meal, I finally went to sleep. I don't think I woke up until 8am the next morning and haven't felt like doing to much today either. I guess I have a dang hang over from overdoing it.
Boy, I'll never do that again....well, I don't know though. It was awfully good.

Well, here it is in the middle of Summer. It's so hot and with all my long hair- it can be pretty miserable. But....don't cut my hair just yet.
I tried to tell my people that I can stay pretty cool if they let me out of the kennel where I can lay underneath the deck. Wow, I can lay anywhere and the breeze blows soo fine.
My people are telling me they are getting a new house and I won't have a kennel. I will be allowed to run free. Yeah, I have to see it to believe it! So right now, I am enjoying my personal doggy spa under the deck. They give me ice frisbies to chew on every day. Yeah, I know the ice frisbies are really chunks of ice from a bowl, but sometimes I have to humor them a little.
Life is sooo Cool.

It's taken a lot time but I've now got them in the palm of my hand. Hey, I don't like just any dog food and I won't eat it. Many times I will turn my bowl over in front of them looking for something good. But no----no extra treats that are sometimes hidden in the dog food. So sometimes I won't eat it. Who wants the same ole thing every day? They usually catch on real quick and get me something else. Poor Bogey, they say, they don't want me to starve or something.
I usually stay in a kennel all day and they let me out in the evenings. Those are the best times for me. I get to play with my fuzzy toy and retrieve it a couple of times for them to make them happy. They usually give me extra treats too. I like treats--especially beggin strips and Marabone treats. Yes, it's rough having a dog's life.
You know, I'm not bragging but I'm a pretty smart dog. They know it. They are so thrilled when I do a command. I think what's the big deal here. It's only a hand shake but---anything to keep those treats coming.
I know I shouldn't get in the landscape areas and mark my territories but nature has it's way of surprising me sometimes--so I can't help myself. I can hear them yelling for me ---"Bogey...No landscape" but I don't pay attention to them. I can hear them but I tune them out. And they usually get over it. I usually keep marking my territory...That is... unless the word 'treat' is thrown in there. When I hear the word 'treat'...well, that changes everything. I'm right at their side shaking hands, sitting, laying down and rolling over even if they don't ask me to. Yeah, I've got them in the palm of my hand. Ha-Ha. What a good life.
