At least that's what my mommy says....but, what does that really mean?? She said it's something to do with me being 3 years old today... I don't get it. hmmm. But, quite honestly, I really don't give a "ruff" cuz I got a bunch of presents anyways. I got some new toys and treats...annnnnnnd my very own really big bully stick. Funny thing is that little brother of mine keeps stealing it!! GRRRRRRRRR. I'd beat him up if I wasn't in such a good mood. :) hehe...

I'm getting a NEW WWWWHAT!?

The last couple of days, my mommy has been "extra" loving (*Hint* something is up!) with me. Now, before I go further, let me point out that in no way shape or form should this be construed as a complaint.... Cuz we all know that I AM NOT COMPLAINING. :o)

Let's just say this: I am getting more belly rubs and snuggles than ever before... and she keeps saying things about me getting a new "brother" soon. Hmmmm!! I've even heard her on the phone a couple of times talking to some lady in Alabama about airplanes... and puppies... and showing me pictures of some "dork"....blah blah blah. I think this all means that there might be another dog in MY HOUSE. I repeat, MY HOUSE. And, if THAT'S the truth, then mommy beware. Heck, everyone beware. Ahemmm....*Raising right paw* "I, Bailey the King, solemnly swear that I will NOT be his friend, let alone his BROTHER!" Harrrumppppph....that's all I'm going to say at this point!

(then again, hmmm....he may be sort of fun to play with when nobody else is home during the day, huh?... no wait... nevermind... I'm not going to be swayed, I'm not going to be swayed..I'm not....)

It's a RUFFF Life (which is a good thing)!

Hiya passerby-ers! Mommy told me it was time to update my diary since it's been awhile.... and you all know that I do whatever she tells me to do (NOT!) ;o).

So, let's see... what's new? Hmmmm... oh yea! Mommy is still sneaking pills in my treats in the morning. In fact, there is ANOTHER one in there now - which is a win-win situation for me, since it means "double the meat"... ha. I heard mommy telling my cousin that I now have to take "pepcid" (is that like Pepsi???) twice a day. I think it's because I've been frowing up a lot lately... (which is NO FUN, in case you were thinkin about trying it yourself!). My mommy calls it "piles of bile"... She thinks she's so clever. Whatever. Anyhow, I went to see the doctor cuz i was leaving piles alot. I know mommy was getting worried about me because she had those "wet eyes" again. I hate when she does that... cuz it makes MY heart hurt too. Anyhow, the vet-lady said that she didn't think it was anything major or serious.... yeahh!! I know I heard that part loud and clear. I'm beginning to like going to the vet's place again, cuz I am such a good hider! I can hide in the corner (or under mom's arm) and I knowwwww they can't see me! I love it when I can trick them like that!!! bahahahahaaaa....

Belly Rubs and Snuggles

Hmmm, I woke up this morning to find more wet ground outside.... what the heck? I thought it was overrrrrrrrrrr. ughhh. I guess it's not so bad since my mommy and I have been looking through dogster today and saw lots of pictures of friends in "white stuff" (mommy calls it snow). It looks like it would be lots of fun to me. Mommy promised me she would take me to a snow place as soon as one gets closer to us...

I did have to go to that terrible place again.... you know the one, the place with the nice ladies behind the counter and the cute lady doctor? Mommy kept tellin me I'm not allowed to lick my front legs and paws anymore, but I didn't listen (sowwy), so i had to go see the vet people. It wasn't so bad this time at all, but I still hid my face under my mommy's arm... I don't think they saw me there either. (((snicker - snicker))). By the way, psssssssst... don't tell my mommy, but she thinks she's being really sly when she gives me those little special treats in the morning and night. ha ha ha! I'm no foo'!! I know there is a little white 'pebble' inside every one of those! But, like I said, I'm not stupid -- I'll eat 'em, cuz I like the treats too much, so I'll just deal with that it. Funny thing is I don't really want to lick my legs/paws as much... Hmmm... go figure. I'm sure it's a coinky-dink.

Besides the new little pebbles, things with me have been perty good. I get belly rubs every night and snuggles every morning, so I can't complain. Hope you are all having a happy and spoiled life like meeeeeeeeee!

Lipstick on her collar!!

Hi pup pals!!! I wanted to share a story with everyone... and let you know what a bad girl my mommy was the other day (I was really mad, but I'm much better now!). Not only did she NOT come home in the middle of the day to visit with me and take me for a walk, but she came home with the SMELL OF TWO OTHER DOGS ON HER!!!!! THE NERVE!!

(just thinking about it again, gets me worked up)... Breathe, Bailey, Breathe....Okay, okay, okay.... here is what happened!!

Apparently she had a "meeting" out of town during the day and so my Auntie came over for "doggie dog care".... Now, I love my auntie A LOT... so, there wasn't a problem... until LATER. When mommy finally came home (when it was dark out), I was soooooo happy to see her! ... that was until I SNIFFED HER!!! EEEEEEEK! She smelled like two (not ONE, but TWO!) little girl labrador puppies!!! They were everywhere... on her sweater, on her pants, on her sleeves, EVERY WHERE I TELL YOU! Mommy says my tail was waggin' the whole time, but boy was my nose in overdrive!! I sniffed.... I snorted... I sprayed.... Apparently, I made my point because she stripped right there in the hallway to get out of her smelly clothes! :) I heard her telling everyone that she felt like she came home with lipstick on her collar!! I'm not sure what that means, but I sure hope it means she learned her lesson!

By the way, she tried to explain to me that she visited a friend after her meeting who has two new puppies.... she said they were really cute (but hyper), but that I was still Number One....and one of them is named BAILEY too...blah, blah, blah... I stopped listening after she said one was named Bailey. That was more than I wanted to hear.

Mommy told me since I've been so good lately, that I can have some free time on the computer!!! Look out girlie doggie sites!! yowzah! arrrrrrwoooooooooooohhh! In the meantime, while I'm waiting for the pages to load, I thought I'd stop in and give a little PAW to all!

Things have been perty good around here so far in 2005. Mommy has finally realized that she doesn't HAVE TO "force me" to go downstairs in the morning when she leaves for that long time (from the "cold time" of the day until the "dark time" of the day) SEE! HA! I KNEW hiding under the bed for months would finally wear on her last nerve....baaaaaaaa...ha ha ha.....((((evil laugh)))) I don't ruin anything anywayz, seeing all I do is sleep, drink, sleep....(man, now that I tink about it a nap sounds good right about now)... Hmmmm

By the way... pssssssst... over here! got a big question for ya, k? Why does that stupid neighbor dog have to run up on me all the time!?!?!? That little pest scares the bejesus out of me! sheeeeesh. Hey mister.... easy with that nose there, ya know!....

Well, time to go check out all the hot girlie dogs named "Fifi" and "Tinkerbell".... before I fall asleep at the wheel.

Oh! These Holly-daze

How was your Christmas?? Mine was great -- I'm still spoiled wotten... (as if THAT was ever going to change!!) I woke up on Christmas morning to four bags of goodies. My mommy let me knock 'em over and dig out the treats and toys! That was way way cool! I got lots of cool and yummy stuff: a new weally big squeaker toy (it looks like a "pig," but mommy swears it's a "bear"...UMMM!), an interesting new toy called a giggly wiggly (we'll talk more about that in a minute), a pillow (a WHAT?), a cool new red/white/blue collar and leash (won't see THAT thing for another seven months! arf arf), some new yummy lamb chop treats, and much much more! My grandma, aunt, and cousins also all got me some neat new treats and toys! Grandma got me a really cool overnight bag for when I get to stay over at fwiend's houses!

So, get this... mommy buys me this giggly wiggly thing, right? Then why don't I get to play with it? HUH!!?? This is how it works: IT makes a noise... so I MAKE NOISE! Isn't that the way it works? Anyhow, she says I bark at it too much and so I'm not allowed to play with it when no one is home! I guess the neighbors don't understand the wiggly giggly rulez. harumpppppph.

oh, by the way... it's been raining (as mom puts it) "kittens and puppies" here in California this week. So guess who gets to pee in the house!?!?! (on pee-pads, of course) *(((raising my right paw!))))* TADAHHHHHH! MEEEEE!!! It still freaks me out a bit.... like I'm not suppose to be doing "it," ya know.... ar arf ar arf...

Buzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...

Hiya Folks!

Just a quick note to let you know that I'm doing good. I just had my 1 1/2 year birthday (no gifts tho!?!?) and have even had a few incidents with "frowin up" lately (but nothing that has made mommy call the doctor). I think she's just watching me weally close....I've also noticed new food in the cupboard that says "for sensitive stomaches. At least that's what she told me, cuz I know that I'm smart! But I'm not rocket-scientist smart, folks, so I can't read (yet!).

Oh! by the way.... Mommy also got roped into buying me a different costume for Halloween this year (instead of the prisoner one). We went to a really cool store called the "3 Dog Bakery" and hey!! guess what? I got TO EAT ICE CREAM AND RUFFFFFLES THERE! That's also where my auntie Shannon put the BEE costume on me... and my mommy got suckered into buying it. As you can see by the pictures, I really didn't mind. GO FIGURE!!! Little do they know I was really telling everyone to buzzzzzzzzzzzzzz off! :)

Anyhow, speaking of zzzzz's...it's time to snuggle up to mommy... NITE!

Life is grrrrrrrrrrand

Well, it's been about two weeks of regular kibble/food and I think I can officially say that I'm 100% back to normal. At least that's what my mom says!! I heard her tell my grandma the other night that I am doing better and that I have been bouncing off the walls!?! What is that suppose to mean?? All I know is that I finally have energyyyyyyy yipeeeee!! I and am enjoying the "new" food. Mommy has been putting a spoonful of cottage cheese (why is it called COTTAGE cheese? sheeeesh) in with my dry food in the morning and again, with my dinner... yummy! She likes how I will now stand there and eat my food! She just laughs at me, cuz I always carried the dry stuff over to the carpet, in my mouth, of course. I only did that for the sheer entertainment... I want her to think I'm a squirrel! shhhhh.. don't tell.

Speaking of other creatures... guess what I met the other night!! An opossum!!! But, first, let me set the mood.... it was a cold and dark night and I was meandering around outside, trying to find that "special spot".... when I heard a rustling noise. I looked up and there on the fence was the ugliest, beady-eyed thing I've ever seen... with a tail, even!! EEEK. Well, you can guess what I did next. Yup! I BARKED to tell him to buzz off.... I barked, and barked, and barked - really loud and proud, I might add! Well, sure enough, mommy showed up lickety split and scooped me up. I'm glad she did, too!! I didn't like the likes of him and I don't think he was fond of me either.

Anyhow, just a quick update to everyone. OH! I also heard a rumor that I've been such a "bad dog" lately that she's dressing me up as a PRISONER for Halloween. We'll just have to see about THAT! :oP

Tummy - Trials and Tribulations

I thought I'd keep everyone up to date on my Tummy-Trials and Tribulations. I went to the (((ahemm))) vet's office yesterday for what my mom referred to as "just a check up." Well, I'm on to her. I recognize that vet office immediately! does she really think I'm stupid? does she really think I'd forget that place?? sheeeeesh. The only good thing about that place is the ladies behind the counter ... and oh yea! pestering the office pets!
oh guess what? My mommy and I were sitting on the bench in the lobby, when that vet-lady (grrrrrrr!) came out to say hello. She tried to butter me up and call me "Bailey Boy" and rub my head... but HA! I didn't fall for it. I ran to the other side of the bench and hid my face really good. I was sooooooooo good at hiding! I know darn well she couldn't see me... neener neener neener! :oP
Then mom gets this bright idea to pick me up and bring me into that small room with the cold table. argh... when will they ever learn? (Pssssssst)... don't tell my mom this, but.... this visit wasn't so bad!! I still rate that "temperature check thing" a 14 on the 1 - 10 scale... but all in all, it wasn't as bad as last time. The vet-lady said that I had pancreatitis. What the ???! Hmmm. I think she and my mom were whispering about those yummy pigs ears, but it was hard to tell for sure. Do they really think I'm stupid?

In the meantime, I am still getting my breakfast and dinner "home made" from my mommy... it's all white, kinda cool lookin!! There is rice and chicken (yumm!) and this cold white cottage cheese stuff..... I RIKE IT! altho! I found a blue pill in the white stuff today... again, i repeat... does she really think I'm stupid??
