 Quick Bio:
| -mutt | -pound dog | -dog rescue | |
 Birthday: July 1st 1994
Likes: Rolling around on the carpet right after getting a bath, barking, vigorous butt scratchings

Pet-Peeves: Cats in the yard, getting into the bath tub, meals served late, interrupted naps

Favorite Toy: Anything that squeaks, especially when I'm on the phone

Favorite Food: Dog cookies with a dab of peanut butter, Frosty Paws ice cream, Greenies, chicken chewies

Favorite Walk: The back yard, patrolling for cats, squirrels, and birds

Best Tricks: Roll over - learned this one at around 9 years of age; a hilarious combo of sit-down-roll over-shake when she sees me open the dog cookie jar

Arrival Story: Gidget and I met at the Everett Animal Shelter in 2002. She was an unclaimed stray. When I first saw her, she was curled up on a tiny scrap of blanket. She wasn't barking or even begging for attention. It was as if she had just given up on ever leaving that place. She was already a senior citizen and had obvious physical problems. I knew that if she didn't come home with me, she might not find another family. I felt an immediate attachment to her, even though the feeling was obviously not mutual. (She had her butt-end pointed at me nonstop for the 1st 2 weeks I had her.) She had all kinds of health problems and required surgery shortly after I brought her home. Gidgie is now in great health and spirits. She wakes up every morning excited to get her day started. Well, excited for breakfast anyways.

Bio: Gidget is a tough little lady who likes to be the boss, but she's got a soft spot for her sister Emmy Lou, who taught her how to be a puppy again.
Her real breed is a mystery, but red heeler/chihuahua mix is the general consensus. Other possibilities: Corgi, pug, and/or terrier.
Gidget suffers from a severe case of selective hearing loss...so sad! The only thing she can hear these days is "cookie."

Forums Motto: Midgie Magoo
