We just returned from an eight week trip to the northwest.,Wyoming, Montana and Idaho. Sari went along on the trip...we traveled in our little T@B travel camper. It was a great change from the hot summer weather in Austin. Sari enjoyed hiking in the mountains and seeing snow for the first time in the Snowy Mountain Range of Wyoming. She loved the long rides in the car and sleeping next to the little airconditioner in the T@B...if was a great to take her along...

The Dog days of Summer

This has been an unusual summer of rain and heat in Austin. I have to get up at 5:30 or 6am to go for my walk before the hot sun comes up. I have had three fur cuts this summer just to stay cool! If it doesn't cool off by 6pm I get to go in the car and be driven all over the area for a "sniff ride"....the only special treat to that keeps me from having "cabin fever" I'll be glad when it cools off and I can take longer walks and walk off some of the weight I put on eating too many milk bones.......

On a diet?

Well, the treats have been adding up pounds. On a recent visit to see Grandma Sue ( Sari's breeder), Sari was told that she was overweight! Personally I think it is genetic, her mother dog and Grandmaother dog were a little on the chunky side. Oh well, I guess we will cut back to a cup of food a day and less trests and increase our walks to twice a day for 45 minutes..Phots of before and after to follow..
