Arrival Story: When I was in 3rd grade, my family and I went out shopping for trees and bushes for landscaping. On our way to one of the coupld stores we visited that day, we saw a sign off the street that said "Puppies". Of course being the little kids that we were, my brother, sister, and I persuaded our parents to check it out. At first we thought they looked black labs but were soon informed that they were German Sheps. My parents had no intention on bringing home a pet that day but my dads love for German Shepards won him over. After careful consideration and a lunch break with the family talking it over, our family made the choice. We came back an hour later to pick up soon to be Wolfie. They wanted the biggest, most relaxed one and there he was sleeping....Wolfie. He was the fattest one and the only one sleeping. Everyone fell in love in an instant.

Bio: Wolfie was my first dog and my best friend. I took him everywhere I went and it almost seemed as if he loved being by my side to protect me and watch over me. Wolfie was smart, laid back, and very loyal to our family. He had a puppy spirit throughout his entire life of 12 years old. He loved walks around our backyard lake, the forest, and loved doing tricks along the way. Tragically, at 11 yrs of age, Wolfie was diagnosed with neuropathy, a nerve deteriorating disease that hampered his ability to walk and control his bladder and bowel movements. Shortly after his 12th birthday, Wolfie would no longer walk on his own and our family struggled to make that final, heart breaking decision.
