Dogs other than her in the apartment, having her ears cleaned...

Favorite Toy:
If it squeaks, it's a goner (yappy dogs included =) )

Favorite Food:
Unfortunately, anything that is real meat...the soy her vegetarian mama gives her doesn't cut it!

Favorite Walk:
Central Park...she can't get there so easy anymore but when she can, paradise.

Arrival Story:
I went to the NYC pound to get a poodle and came out with a pit bull mix. Hands down, she was the best decision I ever made.

Juno has sufferred two ruptured discs and had some major surgeries, overcome paralysis and yet still keeps on going. She's on borrowed time but still the happiest pooch around.

A thought from Juno...

May all the less fortunate dogs be so lucky as the ones- listed on Dogster...

Mommy got real sad today when she was sent a daily email with images of the dogs scheduled for euthanasia at the Animal Care and Control Center of New York City. It breaks her heart that all my animal brother and sisters can't be as lucky as the thousands of loved dogs on Dogster.

It makes me especially sad to see that many of the dogs are over 8 years old and were surrendered by their owners... I can't imagine a family getting rid of a dog after all that time... that's what happened to me when I was a year old and I am blessed that my mommy found me... although she says she is the blessed one because I found her. Mommy made me a promise that I would never, ever be surrendered again. I wish all doggies got that promise.

If you are thinking of buying a dog or cat please visit the local pound and save one of my brothers or sisters. They give just as much love as a purebred, only maybe a little more because they know they got a second chance.

And please, let's all take a moment to send a loving thought to the unwanted dog that is being put to sleep right now simply because no wanted him or her.

Dear Henry,
I know you are in doggie heaven now but I want you to know that you are missed. I hope you have a comfy chair and plenty of doggies to play with. Your mommy and daddy tried their best Henry and boy, did they love you and still do.

Will you meet me at the Rainbow Bridge when my time comes? Just like when we once frolicked all over Central Park... it would make me feel good to know you are there. Mommy says you are waiting for me and that makes me feel good.

Your friend,
