Euthanizing: We had Fozzie euthanized 11-30-07. While this was the hardest decision we've ever made, it was also the best decision for Fozzie. Please feel free to message me if you have any questions, or need someones advice on euthanization. I'm not an expert, but I can tell you my perspective.

We had to put Fozzie down on 11.30.07.
A month earlier, very suddenly, without notice he lost all feeling & control in his front legs or his arms as I would call them. He hadn't done anything, gone anywhere, we couldn't figure out why this happened. The doctor thought maybe it was neurological, or a tumor or something.
He couldn't walk. We kept him home for a month, hoping for a miracle. It didn't happen. At first, he could sit himself up, while still "laying down" and his back legs did show some sort of control, but his arms just didn't work at all.
As time went on, Fozzie started to get sores from laying down so much. We got an air mattress and it helped, but then he started to get really stiff. Most of his muscles had become really weak and he was deteriorating. His shoulders would pop when we sat him up to drink or eat, and it was showing in his face that he was in pain. We gave him meds, but we knew this was no way for our son to live.
It was the hardest decision to ever have to make. I've never had to deal with the death of a pet like this. I've never felt so helpless.
In the end, we both know that it was the best decision for Fozzie. It's been really hard, and we miss the black dog a LOT!

My aunt Kelly has a dog named Oscar. We call him Oxer Del Tator though. He's a sheltie. Think, mini lassie. He's fluffy, and loves to chase balls.
I really don't think I like Oxer. He's really good buddies with my dad and that makes me jealous. Sometimes, I do like him though because he picks on my brother.
Yep, that's it.
