We met a Celebrity - Kari Byron of Mythbusters!

Dad & Mom were having drinks at a hip spot in San Francisco, and Dad was walking me around in front of the restaurant. Suddenly all these lovely people came out to meet me - and one of them was Kari Byron of Discovery Channel's Mythbusters! Apparently Kari loves Frenchies like me, and she has a beloved Frenchie boy named "Smash" who I'd love to meet really soon. WOW! I hope Smash gets on Doggyspace really soon. And Kari and all her friends were so nice & sweet - they all wanted a chance to cuddle with me. Great Day! This was so much better than the day Mom dropped an entire jumbo shrimp in the kitchen.

My bling

People often ask me where I get my fabulous sense of fashion. Well, I have to admit, it's all due to my daddy's insistence that I "accessorize". So, sometimes in the photographs I will be sporting some "bling", i.e. the jeweled collar that spells out my name. And since I'm sensitive to cold weather & rain, occasionally I will put on a sweater and/or a raincoat. Hurricane Relief

My daddy and I have been glued to the television every night since the hurricane hit. Daddy and I saw all the people wading through the devastation - and there were lots of little doggies who needed rescue too!

I'm very happy that Daddy donated money to the hurricane relief effort. You should all help out. All the Dogsters and their Human-ster mommies & daddies need to give support to alleviate all the suffering there. Please help and I love you all.

Personality Dynamics Explained...

Well, judging by the "extremes" in my Doggie Dynamics metrics, I have to explain a little bit about the data analysis done by my Daddy.

ENERGY: As with most dogs, I tend to sleep a lot. Maybe about 18 hours a day. What a life! As long as I am next to my Daddy, I'm able to sleep (for hours). But - if I am outside, or if there are enemy animals around, or if my Daddy just came home - I am a freakzoid hyper-monster. (Meter: 0 - a wash)

INTELLIGENCE: I am not a rocket scientist. I'll admit, I have no idea about how to retrieve any items thrown by humans in any general direction. I "sit" on command about 50% of the time - and only on carpet. Any other commands may as well be in Greek or Latin. But - I'd like to say that I am high on E.Q. - not on I.Q. (Meter: -5 genius factor)

FRIENDLINESS: Human Friends ONLY! Animal Friends, forget it! I make human friends everywhere I go. I've been in a kindergarten with 20 kids climbing all over me - and I love it! (Meter: +5 for people, -5 for animals)

PLAYFUL: By "playful" if you mean toys, frisbees, bouncy balls, forget it. But if you mean do I like to cuddle & mash my already squishy face into my owner's face, well, that's what I do best. (Meter: 0 - a wash)

DISPOSITION: What can I say - I'm a drama queen! I'm generally really very sweet because I'm a Frenchie and I don't bark much - but when I'm upset, watch out! (Meter: -5 for drama)

Heat... Wave...

I love the Bay Area because it has the perfect weather for me - nice & cool. But today is the start of the first heat wave of the year, and boy, is it a killer! And as all Frenchie parents should know, hot weather means that you can't let us run around outside for too long! Fortunately, daddy is really great about keeping me indoors most of the time - and making sure there's lotsa H2O around. Hey Frenchie Pup Pals around CA - stay cool!

A Party! A Party!

I love parties! There's lots of fabulous & gorgeous people come up to me all the time!

It was the going-away party for one of my favorite people - a lovely lass nicknamed "the Brit Chick". My daddy adores her and we all partied a bit, even though I don't drink beer. As I cuddled with her friends, Moriah and Kim, I was listening in to the Brit Chick's honest assessment of Tim Henman's chances at Wimbledon, and of course, the latest juice from the British tabloids.

As this was a farewell party, the Brit Chick is leaving sunny California to return to the London fog. My daddy is sad, as are Moriah & Kim. But I'll keep all the ladies company - so no worries... And I think someday I'm going to have to visit jolly old England to see the Brit Chick. And, conveniently enough, my ancestors are from there too! "You'll never walk alone..."

The Squeal is Real!

A couple of days ago I met another Frenchie named Zola. She was a lot bigger than me and my daddy really loved Zola, but I was in a cranky mood & I was squealing & making all sorts of demon noises. Zola's owner suggested that I had been surgically de-barked.

But after some research - it turns out all my demonic squealing & all sorts of odd high-pitched noises are *real* - yup, real squealing & shrieking. No such thing as an actual doggie bark. Apparently, Frenchies make a wide variety of odd noises (from childlike whines to high-pitched shrieks to actual real barking). When I encounter an enemy cat, I can squeal actual profanities ("F*** YOU!*). Yup, it's to show some real attitude, I tell ya.

An Afternoon at the Stanford Mall

What a fabulous Memorial Day Weekend! Daddy took me to the shopping center right next to Stanford University - and while Mommy got a haircut, Daddy & I walked around a little bit. Of course, Daddy hates shopping and would never bother with the mall, but it was a wonderful chance to meet all the people shopping around...

I got so much attention from all these curious people... Everybody asked about me. It's great when little kids stop by and pet me too, even toddlers poking at me doesn't bother me. It's really cool being a rare breed - and it's a good thing Daddy is the social type!

Enemy Pussycat. Kill Kill!

I was visiting my daddy's friend Nyssa - and there was an Enemy Cat sneaking around her backyard. All cats are enemy cats! I must kill them.

Damnit. They're too fast. Damn their fence-hopping abilities. People think cats are nice & cute but I don't - *I* am the only one that's cute. Grrrrr... Must Kill enemy cat.
