Arrival Story:
Doggie Dog was rescued from the Alameda Shelter by Hopalong Animal Rescue in 2001. After an "incident" at one of the mobile adoptions, Doggie was kicked out of the Hopalong program, then taken into foster care by a private individual, Crysta. My fiance and I had just looked at some dogs at the Berkeley Shelter when we decided to stop by 4th street. It was the end of the day and Crysta was there with Doggie. Doggie was on his best behavior (I think he was just really tired) and we fell for him. We adopted Doggie a couple weeks later, but not before he lost his bottom right canine tooth trying to chew his way out of the kennel.
