Birthday: March 23rd 2004 Likes: This bundle of engergy loves getting attention, from anyone, all the time. Pet-Peeves: She HATES feet near her or people leaving their hand on her. If it's not moving, it shouldn't be there. She also gets spooked easy, so she doesn't like balloons, cameras, water, things she can't play with, people that ignore her. Favorite Toy: Carpets. We'll have a pile of floor mats in the living room if we put them down. Anything Sophie has is her favorite too. Favorite Food: Whatever Sophie's eating, ice cubes, carpet (no really), stockings (long story), cheese, bread, pizza crust, popcorn, anything I have... Favorite Walk: Anywhere! Best Tricks: The first trick she learned was sit, and the second one was Paw. Now, everytime anyone has food, she sits and give her paw. At one time she was confused and though "Paw" meant "Hit Sophie" so she'd lift her paw up, but it'd always land on Sophie's head. Arrival Story: When our Shadow passed away, Sophie was only less than a year old. The little bundle of joy she was before Shadow left was just curled up on the couch all day. It was so sad, like she knew what happened. We just couldn't leave her like that. The day after Shadow passed we drove to a collie farm because we heard they had just had some collie pups ready for sale and we couldn't find any anywhere else. The pups were out back (we're thinking they had carpets down to cushion the little guys, and that's how Abbie got her love of carpets). We went around and saw all the little guys, but they were all so cute. We brought out a couple to see if any wanted to play with us, but it wasn't long before they all ran off into this brush at the back of the yard and we had to chase them all down. One of them thought I was kinda interesting and would bound around to me, then back halfway to the rest of the pups, then back to me. She was so cute. After the tall brush incident she had all these burs on her, so I picked her up and helped get them off. On the way home, she wasn't so keen about the car and it was almost an hour drive back home. She sat in my lap though, calmly and without jumping around any, but you could tell she was nervous because my sleeve and arm and that whole side of the car was COVERED in drool. Poor thing ^_^. When she got home, Sophie wanted to check her out and play, but she was so much bigger than Abbie that Abbie ran under the tablet and just about stayed there all day. That night she started becoming more social, and by the next day she had figured out she could sit on Sophie and the playing grounds were more even. Bio: As mentioned above, Abbie learned to play with Sophie by sitting on her when she was young. Well, the thing is, now that she's all grown up, she's bigger than Sophie. She still sits on her. Now, this is really funny to see. Abbie will look at you, look back, see Sophie laying there, look back at you, smile, wag her tail, walk backwards and PLOP! Sophie's squirming because she has a butt on her head. Sophie will take it for a while, but every now and then she's get annoyed and just let Abbie have it.
