Wow! I can't believe it!! I'm a Finalist in the "Best Friends" Category in the World's Coolest Dog and Cat Show Contest!!
That pic of me and Ollie is Mommy's favorite pic of us together! When she saw it was a Finalist, her eyes filled up with tears and she got me all wet!! BOL!!
We both miss our Ollie so much, and it is so exciting that that pic is going to have a chance to win in the Contest!!
Just had to share the Good News with you all!
Thanks to everyone who voted for us and helped us get this far!!
We couldn't have done it without you!!

Oh boy!! Oh boy!! Mommy has enrolled me in an Obedience Class! I'm so excited! My first class is just a few days away - Monday night! So I got to go for a walk today to the park to practice walking on my leash with my new training collar! What fun!! There is a basketball court there so we walked in circles around and around and around. When we would stop, I would have to sit.....which I already know to do, but I don't always remember to, so I get a little reminder when I forget. I already know my down and stay too, so we worked on that a bit. I think I'm gonna be the top dog of my class because I'm already so smart!!

When we took a little break from walking in circles, I got to go up and down the slide a few times!! I really love the slide - it's my favorite thing to do at the park! There were some people watching me and they thought it was really cool how I could climb up those steps and then run down the slide! They acted like it was something spectacular!! Silly people....what's so spectacular about a dog going up and down a slide anyway? I thought all dogs could do that.....huh?

So I can't wait until I get to go to class. I have a feeling it is going to involve getting to go for a ride in the car!! YIPPEE!! I love car rides - and I always sit shotgun. That's so I can see better - don't want to miss any cows along the side of the road, you know?

Well, I'll keep you posted on how my classes go. Gotta get a drink of water and take a little nap now while Mommy takes Tyler for a walk.

Kobi

Thought it was about time to write a diary entry, so Mom agreed to help me with it today. I've been on Dogster for about 6 months now and I've made so many wonderful new friends and have read about so many amazing dogs here. What a great place to hang out! They even have Groups now and that is so much fun too! Mom even created a Frisbee Dog group just for me and all those other dogs out there that are as obsessed with frisbee as much as I am! What a great idea!! And we just got DogsterPlus/CatsterPlus so Mom got to put up some new pictures of us all and add captions to them! How cool!

So, we've been having a really mild winter so far and have been able to spend alot of time outside playing frisbee and herding balls around the yard. Those are my 2 favorite things in the world to do........well, other than snuggling with Mom that is. I've been trying to teach our new dog, Tyler, how to play frisbee. He's catching on pretty good. But for some strange reason, he won't play with the herding ball with me. I thought Mom said he was supposed to be an Australian Cattle Dog like me, so I don't understand why he doesn't herd things. Maybe it's that mix he's got in him.....who knows.

Well, it's been almost 6 months since my daddy dog, Ollie, died. I really do miss him, even if he did bully me around sometimes. The house was really quiet without him at first, that's why Mom and I took that road trip to go meet Tyler. She said that it would make us both feel better to have a new little buddy in the house to keep us company and to keep us from dwelling on Ollie being gone. She was right, it really helped me alot. Tyler is a pretty good boy most of the time and he even plays with me and we don't even fight.....oh, except when it's time to go night-night and he tries to weasle in between me and Mom and I have to set him straight on the rules of the bed.

Oh, and I get to start Obedience Classes later this month! I'm really excited about that! I do know how to behave already and I know most of the commands and stuff too, but Mom says that I need to learn to walk on a leash properly without pulling her so hard and she says that the socialization with other dogs and people will be good for me too. I'm just happy that I'll get to go for more rides in the car, take more walks to the park and around the neighborhood, and the big bonus - having all that one-on-one time with Mom!! Can't wait!!

Well, I'm burning daylight here and there are frisbees to catch and squirrels to keep out of the yard! Gotta run!

Wags and Kisses,
Kobi
