Likes: Momma, eating, momma, chasing the laser or flashlight, momma.
Pet-Peeves: Anyone that is going to hurt momma; Fireworks
Favorite Toy: The laser or a flashlight.
Favorite Food: Anything - he is truly a chow hound.
Favorite Walk: Anywhere
Best Tricks: He is so smart! He will help carry the groceries from the car, give momma a kiss, give daddy a kiss, bring momma the food bowls. I wish I was a better trainer because he learns so fast.
Arrival Story: Otto was a "free to good home" dog. We got him as a ten week old puppy. His mom was a rottweiler and his dad was a german shepard. He was a momma's boy the minute I picked him up and held him on my lap for the ride home.
Bio: Otto is a very good boy. He is shy with people at first. Some people are afraid of him because of that. He loves playing with his "little" brother Sirius, and wrestling with him. Otto will share his bed with his little sister Nellie and he gets sad when she is not around. We found out by accident that he loves to chase the flashlight during a power outage from a tropical storm. We need to save the batteries in the flashlight so we got him a laser. He will chase that thing all day until he drops!
Forums Motto: Anyone want to play chase the laser?

I've Been On Dogster Since:
Well doggie pals, I'm still one sick pupper. I still have an infection or maybe even cancer. My eyes have filled with pus, and I can't see out of my right eye - maybe permanently. Ma keeps putting all sorts of drops in them every time I turn around. And I get lots of pills poked down my throat. I'm not ready to give up, though.
I almost died last week, but thanks to a great vet and prayers from my pals, it looks like I'm going to be okay.
To make a long story short, the metal plate in my left knee got infected and had to be removed. It took going to 4 vets before the orthopedic surgeon knew what it was. So he removed the plate and screws, but the reason I almost died was that my platelet count dropped dramatically before surgery. I was in the hospital for 5 days before my count was high enough to go home. Boy, was I glad to be home! I still hurt and have nasty infection draining from my leg, but each day I get better. The only bad thing is that I can't jump on the bed... hope I win that swell petLINENS bed!
Thanks so much to Dr. Kirsch and all of the hospital staff that took great care of me even though I got scared and then scared them by grumbling at them.
My big sis went to doggie heaven at the end of November. Boy, do I miss her. I have been moping and quiet. I spend a lot of time in the yard where they buried her. I spent the first week or so thinking she would come back. The first night, I was sure I'd find her in the bedroom. Ma says that I will see her again and we can play and play. I think I'll stay closer to ma for awhile. Maybe she will get me a new sister.
