Arrival Story:
We found Lucy at petfinder.com. She had been pushed thru the night drop box at the Sacramento City shelter without any informantion...no name, no history, nothing. She was then transferred to the SPCA in Sacramento (thankfully as she was at her 5 day limit at the City Shelter and I think you know what that means!) My 8 year old son and I drove 2 hours to meet her. When we came to the SPCA they could not find her. We went into the kennel area where all of the dogs are barking and jumping and saying "please pick me!". Our Lucy (the SPCA named her Roxie) was just sitting in her bed. When we finally did meet her, we fell in love and she became part of our family. Why anyone would give up a dog like Lucy is unthinkable, but we are sure glad they did.
