Arrival Story:
Maizee came to our home on June 3, 2003. She was 13 weeks old. She had been to 3 other homes before coming to us including her breeder. From her breeder, she was adopted to a family who couldn't keep her because their "closed community" didn't allow dogs. They sold her over the internet to a woman who eventually had to get rid of her because "she was moving to an apartment that didn't allow pets". They put an ad in the paper and she came home with us the same night! Why anyone would get rid of such a beautiful little girl is beyond me!!!
Bio:
I am an AD dog. I was diagnosed with Addison's disease last year. I was really really sick. Luckily, the vet knew the signs and tested me. Now, I take medication every day. It helps to keep healthy. I look a little older these days, but I'm doing very well!
