Quick Bio:
-mutt-pound dog-dog rescue

Likes:
SWIMMING, chasing other animals - especially squirrels and rabbits, chasing softballs or tennis balls, giving KISSES (and I'm not satisfied until I plant one on your mouth), snuggling with daddy on his recliner , laying in a sunbeam

Pet-Peeves:
When other dogs give me attitude, vacuum cleaners, blow dryers, the blender, when mom and dad aren't giving me their full attention

Favorite Toy:
Tire-on-a-rope toy, jolly ball on a rope, rubber balls (that I can chew up), any stuffed animal with a squeaker - I'll rip the squeaker out and tear apart the stuffed animal, anything I can play tug with

Favorite Food:
Any people food - meat, cheese, even grapes. But oddly, I'm not a fan of french fries

Favorite Walk:
To the lake or anywhere with tall grass - I like to think I'm a deer and bound up and down

Best Tricks:
I can sit, lie down, and shake when I feel like it, and only if I get something out of it. I don't listen very well outside - there is too much going on.

Arrival Story:
My mom volunteered at a shelter in Illinois when we lived down there and I came in from animal control in Joliet, IL as a stray. The people at the shelter asked mom if she could foster me. Well, of course, the first night mom was ready to adopt me. Dad was a little harder to convince but I soon won him over. Initially I was kind of skittish and snapped when I got uncomfortable. But I am so much calmer and happier now than I used to be. I'm really good around my people "cousins" too- even the babies! I just love to be the center of attention!

Bio:
People always ask my mom "What kind of dog is that?" And frankly, she has no clue. Anyone that would like to take a guess is more than welcome! A lot of people have said I must have some Boston Terrier, some say boxer, or even pit bull - but like mom says ,"who cares?' Whatever I am, my parents love me!

Well I'm a couple years older now, and a little wiser. I now have a little brother AND a little (human) sister - life just keeps getting more chaotic. But it's going ok. Mom and Dad still give me special "me" time - and I love the warmer weather - it means swimming, ball chasing, and sunning myself. Life is good.

Take my little brother.... please

I don't know why they did it. In October mom and dad brought home this little noisy squirming person. He's not very interesting - all he does is sit there or sleep and make noise every once in a while. He doesn't scratch my tummy or give me treats - what good is he? So I'm boycotting the family. I just spend most of the time in mom and dad's room curled up on the bed. Take THAT mom and dad. Mom tries to spend as much time with me as possible and tries to butter me up with extra treats, but I'm still not getting the level of attention I was before - what happened to being queen of the house? Hrumph. So to all you canines out there whose parents are thinking of bringing home one of those little screaming things... be sure to listen for the word "baby".... just tell them NO.

My mom has gotten fired up lately about a bunch of anti-pit bull stories she's seen in various papers. She volunteers at a shelter and she says that bully breed dogs are some of the nicest she's ever met. She says she's sick of people spreading lies and stereotyping dogs because of how they look. Some people have even said I look like I could be part pit bull. And even though my mom doesn't think so, she said it wouldn't matter one way or the other.

So this is just a woof-woof to all the cool pitties and bullies out there - tell your parents to keep spreading the word about how great you are.
