Faster than a speeding... dog. Able to chase down any butterfly, moth, bee or assorted flying insect!
Arrival Story:
Misfit was on the side of the road, a lost pup, with a chain looped and broken around her neck. It took me 2 hours to catch her (and a lot of patience for this shy girl).
The local animal hospital wouldn't treat her injuries (she'd been bitten by another animal several times) and they were going to call Animal Control (who probably would have put her down if they didn't have room).
Instead, I took her to my vet and paid the bills. We put flyers up all over and contacted all the local animal controls centers. We quarantined her for 2 weeks in the basement since we didn't know what had bitten her.
Two weeks later she was introduced to Yellow Dog (Ginger) and they've been bestest friends ever since!
Misfit Maggie is a silly, goofy, happy and very loving dog who was sadly (and very apparently) abused.
I'm so glad she let me catch her because she's been a wonderful addition to our family.
