He can sit straight up for long periods of time. Sometimes he even falls asleep sitting up!

Arrival Story:
Regis was at our local pound (that has a kill date 3 days after intake). We were in there acquring one of our rescues (Levi the Border Collie, who now lives on a buffalo farm!) and my dad saw Regis. We had lost our 14 year old Dachshund less than a year earlier. Dad says Regis asked him if he'd save him, so he did =) I am so glad he did, Reg is one of the kindest most loving dogs I've ever met. He could melt even the coldest heart. Our only regret is not being able to save his friend that he was caged with at the pound. His situation made us think perhaps his owner had died, as he seemed like an older persons dog.
