Jessie loved people. She was a quiet plodder of a dog, but loved it when she was stroked or talked to.

Pet-Peeves:
Jessie hated being told off, she would lie in her bed and look so sad.

Favorite Toy:
She had a stuffed puppy who we called her baby. Baby went everywhere with her and I have kept it safe since she died.

Favorite Food:
Anything and everything ........... except oranges.

Favorite Walk:
She loved to go anywhere, but loved to run free in the park.

Arrival Story:
We found Jessie in a pet shop. She was tiny, cute and had two different coloured eyes, one blue, one brown. We thought she would be a medium sized dog but grew far to big for us really but we loved her, despite her penchant for chewing up the floor, coat stand, new Italian leather shoes etc.

Bio:
We lost Jessie in 1998. Just before Christmas in 1997, I had noticed a big lump on her belly. I have no idea how long it had been there as sadly, I had neglected her due to the fact that my husband was seriously ill. The vet said it was mammary cancer and they operated, but she kept bleeding and her legs gave way. On the 16th January, the day before my wedding anniversary, I was with my husband in the hospital while he was having chemotherapy and the vet called to say that he thought she should be put to sleep as she would haemmorhage at any time now. I couldn't even be with her at the end, I was torn between Jessie and my husband. She was such a big, gentle dog and is sadly missed. We had a star named after her in rememberance.
