Snoop's diary

Tough times

It has been almost 8 weeks now since my operation and 8 weeks exactly since I ruptured a vertebral disc. Boy did that ever hurt! I yelped and snapped but mummy and daddy cuddled me and calmed me down.

I wasn't pleased to have to go to the vet next day, even less pleased that I had to stay there and have an X ray. My mummy was so upset, she didn't want to leave me either.

Three days later mummy and daddy collected me but then they took me to a big hospital and left me again. Mummy had such a wet face, I wanted to lick it but I hurt too much.

Five days later, after being made to go to sleep and woken up with a sore back, mummy and daddy collected me again and this time I got to go home. I let out a huge sigh of relief and cuddled up to mummy.

It was good to be home but I had to keep going into a big cage and most of my toys were not where they were left. I did kick up a fuss and in the end I was allowed to stay out teh cage and rest that way.

Mummy and daddy spoilt me rotten, I can twist them round my paw and while I still have a bit of a wobble in my back legs, I can once again chase those naughty birds out of my garden.
