Playing ball with my mommies and rough housing with my sister, Pepper.

Strangers and the vacuum cleaner.

Favorite Toy:
My purple kitty, I love to nibble on it's ears.

Favorite Food:
Greenies...mmm good.

Favorite Walk:
Walk? You mean lay out in the sun, don't you?

Best Tricks:
Rollover, I do it even before my mommies request it. The faster I roll, the sooner I get my greenie. :)

Arrival Story:
Kind of a cool thing...we were visiting family in Vegas. My partner always wanted a dachshund (since she was little), and has bugged me forever to get one. PetsMart was having their Annual Adoption Days, so we decided to stop by. The adoptions were closing as we got there, and the dogs had gone to the shelter for the night. We asked the coordinator if they had any dachshunds, and she said that they have just one (another gentleman was looking as well). Before we left though, she told us to get there early the next day. Well, I walked into the store as it was opening, and hunted down "Sheila" (her previous name) before the gentleman could. He was right on my heels as I snatched her up, and I had no intention of letting her go! The gentleman was not happy, but I didn't care because we had a new addition to the family.

My mommies took my sister, Pepper, and I to this unusual place today. I was a bit leery of it, but Pepper was having a blast. Momma couldn't get her to stop eating everything in sight (which is a regular occurrence), but every time Pepper went down to eat something she would come back up covered in this grainy substance. It was everywhere! I, on the other hand was too preoccupied with my surroundings, there was so much to take in. All the people rolling around on wheels, what’s that about? And running after their kids, who were of course running towards us. The best part was watching the birds, I had my eyes on a nice bird for dinner tonight. But unfortunately every time I got close enough to call them mine, they'd fly away over that big mass of water. I would try and try, but to no avail :( Maybe next time, 'cause there is no way I was going to jump into that water for them. Hah, I know better than that!

My Poor Paw...

Mommy took me to a yucky place today...I was not very happy with her. She said I had to go to the Vet's (the worst place ever)! It's kind of my fault I have to go, but don't tell my mommies that (it's our little secret, okay).

See, my little sister, Pepper and I were rough housing like we always do. When Mommy said it was time to stop, we didn't. We were having too much fun chasing each other...well, until I hurt my paw. I screamed really really loud! It hurt so bad, and there was blood everywhere. Mommy says I tore a nail in my paw, with that much pain though I figured it had to be worse.

Mommy cleaned me up as much as she could...I wouldn't let her get too close due to the pain though. And she made sure that Pepper and I stopped any more rough housing.

Now, here I am all bandaged up with this huge stub the nurses put on me. How does anybody expect me to walk with this...this...this thing on my paw? Can't wait until it comes off, and I can play with Pepper again. Although, I'm not looking forward to going to the Vet's a second time. :Þ

The only good thing about this...I get more of both my mommies undivided attention. I love being spoiled!

P.S. That's the ouchie in the picture above :(
