Good news...

I didn't have to wait a whole month for new toys... I laid on the charms, and daddy was able to exchange the "bad" bill for a brand new one at the bank! I've had many new toys and bones since my last entry! After awhile, mommy wasn't mad any more... :) I hope everyone had a nice holiday.. Chloe and I got new toys and our pictures taken... We had our pictures taken at PetsMart and I got a brand new Christmas collar! It had jingle bells on it... I got to wear it all day on Christmas Day! One of mommy's friends gave me a stuffed soccer ball with ropes on it, and believe me, I had the best time, chewing it to bits! I tore the stuffing out of it, and of course the squeaker!! I worked really hard to get that squeaker too (that's the best part!), but mommy took it away from me.. (something about swallowing it!) I made a big mess at my grandma's house! heehee! And not to mention, my portion of the Christmas dinner... that didn't last long at all... ! I had so much fun opening gifts, of course, I had to help everyone else open theirs.... Who knows, there could have been something in there for me! Happy New Year!

My new life of crime....

I have been a very bad doggy lately, or so mommy has told me... Mommy has recently been wearing her coat (since it is getting colder).. Last week, if mommy didn't hang that coat up right away, I was there picking the pockets.. A few times mommy had to take her gloves out of my mouth! She said I was a very bad girl and made sure her coat was hung up right away when she came home.. Well, Saturday, I couldn't help but notice that mommy had a pair of her jeans on the bedroom chair.... hmmmm.... what's a nosy noodle to do?? Okay, let's see what's in the pockets... I start pilfering.. AHA! I find paper... I think I'll take it to my bed and shred it to bits... Mommy will never notice!! It takes awhile, but mommy comes through the house and notices a paper shred on the floor... She picks it up and starts yelling at me.. Uh-oh, I think I'm in BIG trouble.. What's "money"??? Was that what the 1-0 meant in the corners??? Wow, mommy is still yelling as she checks my bed.. Yep, I didn't have time to hide the evidence! I know that mommy is mad this time! She yells and puts me in "time out" for my punishment! I don't like this because I like following mommy around and just being nosy... Okay, I guess I'll lay down awhile so that mommy can cool off.... She said, "there goes any new toys for a whole month!".. Wow, a whole month???? Aw shucks!

Thanksgiving at my house!

Wow, this year mommy had Thanksgiving at our house! I couldn't believe that everyone came over to see me! Mommy cleaned the house, and cooked all day... At first I didn't know what was going on but then the doorbell rang... Yippee!!! Of course, I do the natural thing and run around and bark like a mad pooch from all the excitement! Uh-oh, is that the doorbell again!!!!??? I can't believe it! More peeps for me....!!!! Mommy tells me to calm down, but I don't listen.... "Mommy, these people came to see me", was all I was thinking! I continue running around almost knocking people over for at least 5 minutes... Finally, I just have to have some water! SLURP, SLURP, SLURP..... Okay, back to work! Wow, I'm going to get a lot of attention today... Good thing Chloe doesn't care for strangers, or she'd be out here competing for MY attention.... Wow, what do I see now? Mommy placing food out on the table???? Could this day get any better?????????? I have many people I can plead with now... Maybe if I just look pleadingly from the serving table, the peeps will get the hint... Darn, nothing yet! Okay, everyone is sitting.... let me try again.... heehee.... I've got them.... Mommy's niece hands me some turkey... wow, that's good stuff! Mommy tells me to just wait (I'm always waiting), and I'd get turkey of my own! After what seems like forever, mommy gets my special dish out!! THERE'S MY TURKEY!!! Darn, here comes Chloe!!! Where the heck did she come from??? Sorry, Chlo but this bird is all mine! I've put in a hard day of "work" for this special treat!! Sometimes it's just so hard being a pooch.....

I heard it through the grapevine..

that Chloe has been talking about me again.... She is so lucky! Mommy bought her a new red collar! I remember when I was the "baby" and got all of the new things... Chloe thinks it's weird, but I like pretty collars....! When mommy takes mine off for any reason, I bark at it until mommy puts it back on.... Sometimes, mommy puts pretty "jewelry" on it, and I like that too! I watched mommy try to put a pretty collar on Chloe, and she didn't want it! What a dummy she is.... Felines are kind of freaky if you ask me.... When mommy gets ready to put the collar away, I'm there with mommy begging and begging that she try it out on me, but she says it's way too little for me (am I big??) Oh, well.... back to chewing my new bone.....!

I love attention!!!

So does Chloe and I have to admit I get a little jealous! When mommy or daddy is doing something and I feel ignored, I try to find something naughty to get into... shoes are always good... I watch for my peeps to take off their shoes.. that will get their attention! Uh-oh, look out! I've found some trash...! I think I'll take it in there and show it to mommy so that she knows for sure I'm being naughty!!! She can't get mad at me! Number one, I'm way too cute for that! I'll just flash my puppy-dog eyes and she'll melt!! And besides, it's not my fault anyway! I think Chloe was the one who knocked this towel down onto the floor!! She should get into trouble, not me!! It doesn't matter that I picked it up and played keep away with it, or chewed it... no, that shouldn't matter! That Chloe, what a trouble-maker! Just wait until the next time she wants to cuddle.... I'll definitely remember that! :)

I love Sundays!!

I really look forward to the weekends because mommy's home all day, but I look forward to Sundays the best! Every Sunday, my mommy makes us a big breakfast... her specialty is ham and cheese omelets! Boy, I love my mommy's ham and cheese omelets.... Mommy eats first, and of course I beg... Heck, I start begging as soon as mommy opens the refrigerator door of course.. anyway, when my mommy takes out that country ham, and gives me a little bite.... I'M HOOKED! The final phase of cooking involves mommy getting out the cheddar cheese.... My sister Chloe and me love cheddar cheese... Mommy gives us what she calls a weekly "cheese party"! I get a pile of cheese and Chloe gets a smaller pile... but Chloe always wants my cheese! Mommy tries to direct her to hers, but she always comes over to mine!!! I've stolen Chloe's little pile before and gotten into trouble... Now I have to wait until Chloe is finished before I finish hers.... She's so slowwwww...!
Anyway, mommy eats first and reads her paper... and I beg, beg, and beg some more... I occasionally give mommy my long puppy face, and place my chin on her leg so she doesn't forget that I really want some... Mommy tells me to be patient, but I have a really hard time doing that! FINALLY, mommy gets my dish and gives me my omelet... and do you know what happens??? Here comes Chloe! I try to eat faster so she doesn't get any, but she is such a pest sometimes... She's so little, it's hard for me to dodge her... Mommy finally got smart at distracting her... Chloe n0w gets her own little omelet pile, so that I can finish mine! What a relief! After that it's play and naptime.. Mommy plays ball with me, while Chloe walks all over her! :)

My first diary entry...!

Hi there, this is Cassidy... I wanted to introduce myself... It's taken awhile to get my diary going, but I couldn't let Chloe get all the attention any longer!! She brags, and brags all day about her stupid diary... and of course how cute she is!!

Wanna know a secret? I really like cats... just don't tell anyone... Don't get me wrong.. I do still enjoy a good chase out of the yard by the occassional stray! Mommy says I have to be nice, but it's my yard right?? Not to mention those pesky squirrels and birds... Besides Chloe likes it!! Chloe runs up to me even when I'm sleeping to try to get me going... She bites my nose, and slaps my face... She can be a real troublemaker! But, I kinda like it!!!

Do you know what I like the most?? CAR TRIPS!! Boy, I wish I could drive! If mommy or daddy goes to the car for ANYTHING, and I get the chance to jump in, I won't come back out!!! I'm mommy's best buddy, so she takes me a whole lot of places, even on vacations!... I have a big bone in the back seat, so that I have something to do when mommy drives! Yeah, it's nice having a chauffeur, but if I ever find out I can reach the gas pedals... WATCH OUT!!
