Nicknames: Cooty butt, Cooty, Coots, Horse, Hooter

Quick Bio:
Likes: Hanging out near the refrigerator, playing with dog pals, acting silly, playing in plastic pool

Pet-Peeves: Other dogs approaching when he's getting attention or food

Favorite Toy: rope toys, tennis balls, socks

Favorite Food: TABLE SCRAPS!

Favorite Walk: Around the dog run with pals

Best Tricks: Looking adorable to get table scraps or a scratch on the belly

Arrival Story: We "accidentally" caught Cooter in a live trap while trying to catch some other dogs by a cement factory. He had been dumped out there, but we're glad to give him a home. He's wonderful. When we first got him he would CRINGE whenever we tried to pet his head. He's coming along wonderfully, with lots of TLC. Now he sneaks up on us and nudges us to let us know he's there. He's very sweet. He reminds me of a horse when he walks. The other dogs walk underneath him.

Bio: Cooter LOVES to play with Chubby, Foxy, and Bull. His FAVORITE activity is jumping in and out of our little plastic pool full of water, and stretching out and lying in it. When it's empty he looks confused.

Forums Motto: Cooter---what a life!

Hey, everyone! I'm Cooter. My old owner (He was sooooo mean!) dumped me and my daddy off at a cement factory. You see, lots of mean people dump dogs out at this cement factory because no one can see them out there. Then we have problems finding food and water, and it's a hard life. Can you please tell your human friends to never ever dump their animals? Oh, it's so mean. This is my story. After I was dumped off, my mom drove by and said, "Oh no, I can't believe it. Someone dumped 2 more dogs out here." She had the saddest face. She opened her car door and said, "Come here, babies" but my dad ran away scared, and I followed him. Well, guess what happened? A few weeks later Mom and Dad drove out to the factory at night to try and catch Chubby. GUESS WHO THEY CAUGHT? ME! ha ha! I smelled chicken and walked right into that cage! Oh, I was scared. They took me home and let me out in the garage, so guess what I did. I crawled under Mom's car and stayed
there for hours. Mom finally had to get a push broom and gently push me out so they could get me inside the house. Oh, I was scared of them for a LOOONG time because my other owner hit me and yelled at me and wasn't nice at all. Mom used to spend time every night lying next to me and just petting my head and saying, "Good dog, good dog." Well, she used to give me hot dogs and chicken and bacon...who can resist that?? Dad was always real nice to me, too. Now it's been a few months and I love my new house! I run and play with all my friends, and I follow Mom around and hit the back of her knees with my nose! Ha ha...I think that's funny. The vet says I've got lots o' growing to do. He says maybe I'll gain about 5-10 pounds in just a few weeks! I guess I'll be a Big Cooter.
Okay, gotta go for now.
Paws!
