A TRIBUTE TO MAGIC
*FROM GOD'S HANDS
INTO MINE*
I needed some magic in my life. In the previous 2yrs. I lost my Rotti (Bear) 11 1/2 yr old to cancer: and then a 9mth. old to HD (Angus) he was a Kuvaz and a wonderful soul:
.I had just agreed to mid-wife a litter of pups for an elderly friend and got the same news about my 4mth old Nellie,(a Great Pyrenees).I decided not to get another puppy, I had become the keeper of babies that were terminal, and I wanted a change in job description. After all there are plenty of lost souls in shelters, that would be great therapy pets , and more importantly my best friend.
Hearing the news about Nellie my friend offered me one of the puppies: I said NO NO... NO more babies in my house.
It came down to this, when the Universe presents you with a gift, however it is presented, your a fool not to accept it with gratitude.
I got the call at 2:30 AM the day after Thanksgiving and spent the rest of the weekend there, 1st the birth and then settling everyone into a routine. It was great! I love that part of things.
Magic was my favorite of seven, from the time he went from* God's hands into mine.*That is how our journey began together
Today at 11:30 AM he went from my arms back to God
Magic has taught me so much I can not even begin to say..
The top of the list I must say, don't ever underestimate yourself or anyone else.
Next would have to be *Live in the MOMENT*
LOVE with EVERYTHING YOU ARE
He taught me that Magic is a real thing in our world..and we should share it with as many people as we come in contact with..young.. old..rich...poor...makes no difference..
My heart is breaking..and it is hard to wrap my brain around the fact that he is gone from my sight..
But will always be with me in the MAGIC of my HEART
To those of you who knew Magic..weather you met him in person or through e-mail..or even just read a story about him..thank you for sharing his MAGIC

Well I have heard my human as many other humans say this but today I really got this message in a big dose.
It was a usual day visiting and there weren't too many sick kids, the ones I did see weren't too sick, and most were ready to go home.
I got to visit with my favorite nurses at their station, where they keep the best treats just for me.
All the kids in Peds ICU were little babies and I usually can't visit with them.So we headed to the floor where the grown-up ICU is and also one of my favorite nurses are.
Adult ICU has great nurses, but most of the people there are very very sick and not even awake. Sometimes the nurses have an important job for me to do.Sometimes people have had some major head surgery, and it is hard for them to listen or do what they are told. And most of what nurses and Drs want them to do either hurts or is just too hard.
I don't talk and don't tell them to do anything,I also don't stick them with sharp needles.
Mom will put a chair next to their bed and then I will sit near their hands or arms. She lets me give them small kisses on their hands.and I know that they can feel me there.Somehow,MOM knows when this happens, and she puts a treat in their fingers and they give me treats.
The Drs and nurses watch me and their patients and sometines they open their eyes, and then sometimes they don't,but they usually ask them to do things which they can do after they spend some time with me.
Today all the patients were sleeping and not ready for any of this kind of work,,but I did get to meet some people that were with them (their familes) and of course my favorite nurses always remember me.and I visit with them.
So we were done and on our way out.And while we were on our way back to ICU I saw lots of people in the waiting area.(That's where lots of the family have to wait.)
I know we make our last stop there to see if anyone may need a hug. When we got to that area, it was packed with people from young to old, looked like many of them were camping out in the corner.
I love doing my tricks but when there is an audience it's even better and MOM still had some treats in her pocket.
I'm not sure what I did different but it made everyone laugh.
We stayed there longer than usual while MOM and Dad answered lots of questions.
And I made my way around to everyone that needed my attention.
I heard Mom and Dad talking in the car on the way home, and it seems that Laughter is good medicine.
It made them very happy that all those people were able to if even for just a little while laugh out loud.
It must be very improtant for people to laugh so my advise to all my Dogester friends is do something today to make your humans laugh.
It is medicine that isn't in a pill or a needle or awful tasting drink.
It just happens and makes everything better.
that 's it for now.
Next time I'll tell you about Madison.

Well as my last entry states Mom does like to dress me up.And the kids and the
staff at the hospital seem to really appreciate it.All I need to do is coorperate.
While she's doing whatever it happens to be this month.
I forgot to mention something that I thought would be of interest to my fellow
fur friends.
While we were at the hospital we entered a room with kids in both beds.and as usual Mom asked if they would like a visit. and bed two was already nodding yes,but the young man in bed one was making a face and kinda shaking his head NO
I could tell he had been having a bad day and wasn't looking too happy. So I went to the end of the leash mom has on me towards bed one.and she wouldn't let me get any closer, and I was a few feet away from him and I looked right at him and
BURPED and then just stood there.
He had a big smile on his face and was reaching for me to come to his bed.
Mom asked him if I had just burped at him and he was laughing so hard all he could do was nod yes.
So I proceeded to do all my tricks for him and he petted me and the nurse came in
those are the people that take care of all these sick kids. She was cking one of those machines that was beeping. And she asked what he was smiling about.
And he had to tell her and everyone that I burped.
I didn't know that a burp was so funny or important. The nurse told mom he hadn't smiled since he arrived. And it sure made his day.
who knew????????????????????????????/
I had had a big drink of water in the room before and if I didn't burp when I did I may have exploded. But I had no idea that it would make someone's day.
So when your humans seem to be having a down day get a big drink and cheer them up with a burp in the face.At least it will take their mind of what ever they are down about.
