I had to leave for the bridge tonight. mom held me close, stroked my belly, and whispered in my ear as my vet gently helped me go. I am at peace now and running free!
so long Gang and friends, until we meet again....
love,
Mei
A MILLION TIMES I WILL CRY
They say memories are golden
well maybe that is true.
I never wanted memories,
I only wanted you.
A million times I will miss you,
a million times I will cry.
If love alone could have saved you,
you never would have died.
In life I loved you dearly,
in death I love you still.
In my heart you hold a place
no pup could ever fill.
It broke my heart to lose you,
but you did not go alone.
For part of me went with you,
the day God called you home.
Your precious memory is my keepsake,
with which I'll never part.
God has you safe in His keeping,
but I'll have you forever in my heart.
If tears could build a stairway,
and heartache make a lane,
I'd walk the path to heaven
and bring you back again.
Our family chain is broken,
and nothing seems the same.
But as God calls us one by one,
the chain will link again.
Here are the Rules:
Each player starts with seven random facts about themselves. Dogs who are tagged, need to post in their Diary the rules & their 7 pawsome facts. Then choose 7 dogs to tag and list their names. Don’t forget to bark them a pmail that they have been tagged and to read your Diary, or, send them a fun Rosette announcing they've been Tagged!
1. I am an Alpha-wanna-be, but mom says she is Alpha
2. my name means “beautiful child” in Japanese, “smile” in Hawaiian, and “monkey” in Spanish – although our neighbor from Hondouras said that’s not true - I act like a monkey anyway
3. I come from a long line of street dogs
4. I became a Gangsta when I was 5 weeks old
5. I love to rip up cardboard boxes
6. I can hold a soccer ball in my mouth
7. I am only 25 inches tall at the shoulders
The 6-pack’s rescue story can be seen in our Gang’s Diary.
Feb 15 PUPDATE: all of the 6-Pack have been officially ADOPTED!
LENAand LEXI (now Loki) still need homes in Des Moines, Iowa.
Lena almost had a furever home but was too shy for the people who liked her. She is a sweetheart and loves to cuddle. Needs a family with patience that can give her a little extra training.
Lexi was ready to go to California and live with our dear pal Griffen’s mom. Behaviorists and trainers suggested that flying would not be a good idea, so she still needs a home closer to Des Moines.
(Pupdate: Lena and Lexi’s (now Loki) foster family failed! they are staying together with fellow Dogsters Takoda, Vegas, and Catori in Iowa. Life is wonderful!)
Meanwhile, back in Ohio: LUNA and LEA were the first to be adopted. They are together with their new dad, getting big, and doing great.
Dogsters Mellow and Caelen are foster flunkies. Ha ha! LANA (now Lainie) is part of their happy pack now. LETA, one of the shyest pups of all, is thriving with her new foster mom. FM is close to foster failing as well. If FM does not keep Leta, our pals Vincent & Rosie have a very dear friend that really wants to give her an awesome life.
(Pupdate: her FM DID fail and she has a new Dogster page at LETTA).
