Arrival Story:
My father made a promise to me years ago to get me a Blue Merle Aussie like I had always wanted. My father passed away suddenly January 1st of 2002. Dad never got me that puppy he promised. A few weeks later I was moving a newspaper at work and an ad from a local rescue jumped out at me. "Aussie Puppy 10 weeks old needs new home." I decided I would call and inquire about him. I spoke with Mary and found out a few things about him. The puppy was deaf, a breeder turn in who told Mary that "You need to come and get my damaged goods or it will be PTS". Mary really didnt have room but felt this guy needed a chance and so she took him. The phone call ended well with me inviting her and the pup over to my home. When Tonka walked up I knew right away my father had finally given me that pup I wanted...Tonka was a gorgous Mostly white with Blue merle patches adorable puppy. Needless to say Mary felt it was a match and left me to care for the little bundle of energy...the rest is history. =0)
