Digging holes in the front yard for himself to curl up in, playing tug of war or play-fighting, cuddling at night, chewing on underwear or socks, laying in the middle of the kitchen floor while i'm doing dishes or cooking.

Pet-Peeves:
He doesn't like being left alone. He also is afraid of men with deep voices, anything you wave at him suddenly, the car. He especially hates the blow-dryer, the vacuum cleaner, & the long fireplace lighter-- the only things I've ever heard him bark at.

Favorite Toy:
He loves his rope toy, and chewing on Bella and Maple, the other two dogs in the house. If I leave the house, his favorite thing to do is go to the laundry hamper and chew on my panties (bad dog, Jack!)

Favorite Food:
Liver treats, pizza, carrots, saltine crackers, ICE CREAM!

Favorite Walk:
Anywhere he can prance around! (I swear, he could have been a show dog in another life.) He also loves to walk around the Hill with me, usually around all the restaurants where he likes to scam sandwiches off of strangers.

Best Tricks:
Sit, come, get down, get up, drop it! leave it!, shake, charge![an old command my dad taught his dogs-- they lay down.]

Arrival Story:
He came from the Boulder Valley Humane Society, where he was known as Major. I named him after Jack Kerouac...and Jack Berger from Sex and the City.

Bio:
Jack is absolutely gorgeous, and although he can be trouble at times, he's my baby! He likes to watch TV with me, and although our other dogs don't blink an eye for sounds on the TV, he perks up his ears for other dogs barking, any animal sounds, the telephone ringing, and ambulance sirens. He's cutest at night as I'm getting ready for bed, standing in the doorway with a look on his face like, "Time for bed, Jess!" Then he cuddles up on my bed with me for the night. He's got a knack for cheering you up, and one of his favorite things to do is to get into a really playful mood and then flail his paws wildly in the air, mouth open, just begging you to play with him-- earning him the name "Jacky Kong." It's been about a year that I've had him now, and each day I realize how much I love him, and I don't know what I'd do without him around. We're living in Boulder for the summer and fall, but on school breaks, he gets his kicks out of playing with my parents' two Weimaraners, Buck and Gooney, in Castle Rock. He's my joy, and my darling!
