Best Tricks: Getting Mommy to do what she wants and when she wants it! Arrival Story: Well, I got Misty from a breeder before I moved back home. After moving home, Misty quickly became "Mom's Dog." I then moved to an apartment and couldn't take her. We have since moved into our own house, but Misty and Mom have a bond to not be broken. I do get visiting rights though! :) Bio: Unfortunately, I just had to put Misty to sleep a couple weeks ago (end of July 2004). She developed kidney failure and was miserable for a couple days until we realized there was nothing else we could do. I stayed with her for the injection and it was the most peaceful passing. When the vet brought her in the room she looked miserable. She still had the port in her arm from the vet injecting her with liquids trying to get her to "go". We laid her down on her stomach and she put her head down just before the injection. I told her that was perfect. I rubbed her head and told her how much she was loved and what a good girl she was. Just as the injection was almost finished, she actually perked up her ears and looked happy. For the first time in days I think the pain was starting to leave her and she reacted. She passed looking happy which is all I could ask for. Rest in peace Baby. I've Been On Dogster Since:
