Arrival Story:
I had been looking in ads on the internet, newspapers and everything I could basically get my hands on. As a routine, I would pick up the local newspaper, the Westender, and just check if there were any possibilities every week. One ad just popped out at me and I told myself that I might have found the ad that would find my dog. So I called right away and that friday, I went to the breeder and picked out of three puppies, my baby Kobi.

My Kobi looks exactly like his gorgeous mom with big eyes and a great face in general. I think his ears must have come from his dad though (who I didn't see).

Summer is here...finally

It seems like we've been waiting for summer to come forever but all is forgotten now that the warm weather has arrived. My mom has been putting me in only my harness vests which is a nice change from having to wear sweaters.

During the last week, my mom took off work from one of her jobs which has allowed for some quality time with her. It was definitely nice to be taken with her as we strolled around the city in the warm weather. My grandparents also took the week off since it was my grandmother's birthday. So...needless to say...I got lots of attention...and treats!

It's kind of sad that the week is now over...back to reality...

Warming up...

Time has flown by very quickly since the new year. My mom's been really busy and it's been hard to fit in our quality time. Luckily, the weather has been slowly warming up though which is a relief. It was just such extreme weather this winter! We're definitely looking forward to spring! My mom tells me that the groundhog had predicted an early spring and we're hoping that he's accurate! In the meantime, there's been lots of rain but at least it not too cold and we're just grateful it's not snow!

Hopefully there'll be many stories to tell once the weather warms up and my mom is able to take me out with her more...

My Mom's Birthday Party

My mom's birthday party turned out to be pretty tiring for me. She put me in my new hooded sweater and I was darting around the house just hoping someone would drop some food! I got my usual share of attention as well. At least one person was ready to steal me and take me home with them. I loved the attention! I was certainly pooped by the end of the night though! I was glad when we finally cuddled up in bed at the end of the night. My poor mom had to work early the next morning...I think she had quite a rough day yesterday after her party.

Today, we had an outing with my grandparents. My mom is on holidays from her regular work. Unfortunately, she's still working quite a bit at her other job so I might not be able to get in as much quality as we had hoped. Nevertheless, she's trying to make the best of things. She brought me to another new doggie store today and bought me a blue fleece hooded coat which she had seen on the internet before and wanted to get me. I think she's looking forward to putting me in it for Christmas!
