Likes: She died when she was a pup. She didn't have a chance to do things.
Favorite Toy: She just loved her little doggie bed to sleep in.
Arrival Story: Someone was giving Tay away. She looked so cute, I wanted her the first moment I saw her, so we took her home. About a week later, we noticed she wasn't acting right, she seemed sad, she wouldn't eat. We took her to the vet, thinking she had parvo, but the vet said she had heart worms. He said where she had so many and all the damage they have already done to her, that she already had them before we got her. We did all we could to save her. We had to give her shots and medicine. Giving her shots was the hardest thing, she didn't like it either. A couple days later, we took her back to the vet, he gave her some IV fluids, which he didn't even charge us for the visit, the vet told us if she didn't start to eat soon, for us to bring her in the next day or two to be put to sleep. She actually did start to eat that night, thinking she was getting better, but apparently it was little to late. Late that night, she got sick, was having trouble breathing. I sat with her most of the night, holding her some. She held on...I thought maybe she didn't want me to see her die, so I left her alone for a few hours and cried myself to sleep. When I got up, she was in her doggy bed, curled up-she had passed on. We all were heart broken. We tried all we could to save her. I just feel like she suffered and that makes it harder on us. I wish I could've done more for her. She wasn't with us for long, but she was a part of our family, still is. I miss my Tatem, we love her!
Bio: Not sure of her breed, the man that had her said she was part Border Collie, but not real sure on that. She is a cutie, the last visit to the vet, she only weighed 3 lbs.

THANK YOU!! For all your sweet comments and messages, and especially for leaving me stars and rosettes. I love them all and read them all. Thank you to all you doggies that are my pals too. I just wanted to thank you all for being so kind, especially to my mommy. She thinks of me often and still misses me, I think she always will. Love from the Bridge....Tatem
I just wanted to write a little something about Tay-Tatem. I miss her. We only had her a short time, but it was enough. She was just so cute. It still breaks my heart the pain she had to go thru, and no matter what we did, it wasn't enough. I do know that now she's in heaven, running around with the other doggies and she is healthy.
It just breaks my heart how the original owner didn't even care about his dogs. I am still curious if any of Tay's brothers and sisters are still alive. There was a good chance they could've had worms too, since the vet thought that Tay got the worms from her mother.
She was a sweetheart. I had taken off her collar when she got real sick. I thought of putting it on her when we buried her. But I didn't, I have it up on my desk here so I can see it everyday, it's a purple collar with a little heart on it that has her name. My husband buried Tay with some of his animals that he had growing up that died. We have a hill behind our house, there's a flat piece up there, that's where she is buried.
Don't mean to ramble. I never thought I'd be so attached to a pet, but I was with Tay, still am, and I am with Cletus as well. I was hesitant on getting Cletus, worried about worms and parvo and everything. But Cletus is doing great, he's like my 4th kid.
