Quick Bio:
-mutt-dog rescue

Birthday:
February 14th 2001

Likes:
Having her belly rubbed, laying on the air conditioning vents, sleeping on MY bed :-)

Pet-Peeves:
She hates when people blow in her face or ears, when the neighbor's dog comes to the fence and growls/barks, loud noises (thunder, fireworks)

Favorite Toy:
a piece of ice, Nick's ear :-)

Favorite Food:
Pedigree canned (beef), anything that YOU are eating, cashews, pistachios, BusyBones, ChewLotta bones (yummy!)

Favorite Walk:
on the street where I live

Best Tricks:
She can tell which treats she wants; hold two different bags and she'll pick out which one she wants; she snores too (not a trick, but she can get REALLY LOUD!) :-)

Arrival Story:
My friend Kristi brought Lucky out to the ballpark one evening; she had just gotten her from a friend. Lucky was so playful and sweet, I knew then I wanted a dog just like her. About 3 weeks later, we were talking on the phone and I asked about the dog. Kristi said she wouldn't be able to keep her and that she would be taking her to the pound the next day. I said "Oh no you won't, I'm coming to get her right now!" Kristi said okay and I went to pick up Lily (that's what they were calling her). I decided that since she was saved from a certain death at the pound and that I had found such a wonderful friend and pet, that both of us were very lucky.....hence, her name, LUCKY! :-)

Bio:
Lucky was born without properly developed hip sockets so she already has problems with arthritis (hip dysplasia will show up in the future), but you would never know it. I don't think she understands that you're not supposed to be in pain ALL the time; she doesn't know any better because she was born that way. She has the best disposition of any dog I've ever known.....tolerant, playful, gentle, an all around GREAT dog!
