Well, it's the second anniversary of my passing, so I decided to visit with my family and try to bring them comfort. I saw Mummy and Daddy hugging and laughing (and even a little weeping) and sharing memories of me, some sweet, some funny, some sad. They remembered the good and bad - well, I wouldn't have minded if they forgot the bad ;)
Mummy and Daddy seemed to pay extra attention to my furblings, giving wots of extra hugs and tweats- I miss those tweats!
Winston even did my halfway in halfway out trick at da doggy door when Crumpet tried to come in- just like I used to do! And only Winston does that! Kipper never does! I'm training that Winston pretty well! hehehe
And it finally got cold and Winston came charging in through the doggy door with his chilly, wooly fur, and Daddy called him "chilly dog," just like he used to call me when I did that!
I especially like it when people think that Winston's me! It's kinda like I never left ...
It's nice to know that I'm still loved so much! And I'm sending so much love down to all my family and furiends from the Rainbow Bridge! God bless us all!

My favorite Dogster group STAFU had a thread about how pups got their names, so we thought we would share our name stories. Here's my name story:
I was my pawrents' first pup! I'm an angel now.
My Daddy used to have a Yorkie named Tuppence when he lived in England, so when my pawrents decided to get a pup, they thought British names would be cute. They wrote out a list of names dat dey both agreed on (Daddy took Wickett off da list when he found out it was an Ewok! Mummy wuvs Star Wars and was twying to be sneaky! ). Well, all da final names were British food! BOL! The list sed "Biscuit, Crumpet, Kipper."
I was named Biscuit 'cuz I was biscuit-colored!
I grew up on a farm wif a nice elderly couple who bred Lhasa Apsos. My Daddy saw a cute Lhasa pup in college, so he wanted a Lhasa. I was in a pack of three girl pups, so we were named after da Andrews Sisters. I was Laverne!
When my pawrents saw me, one of my sisters was already sold, so it was just me and my udder sister. Mummy liked my sister 'cuz she was sleepy and cuddly. Daddy liked me 'cuz I was playful. Of course, I was cuter wif my tan fur, white socks and white belly, so dey decided to buy ME!
My playfulness later showed up as high energy and exuberance! I wuf'ed to play and I would wear out my pawrents. Mummy would tell Daddy, "Maybe we should have bought da sleepy pup!" hee! hee!
My pawrents wished dey had thought to buy me and my sister, so I would have had anudder pup to play with, because I grew lonely and moped a lot.
Dat's how we got Crumpet, but that's anudder story... (See Crumpet's page for her story!)

As the midnight hour approaches on Christmas Eve, a tremendous celebration begins. If you listen closely you will hear the exuberant sound of Bridgekids preparing for the remarkable moment that comes but once a year.
Puppies romp through the tall green grass, chasing butterflies and rolling over and over until fits of giggles bring them to a tumbling stop. The volume increases as kittens, cats, tigers and lions purr in pure delight while the wings of snow white doves gently caress the air. The babbling brook that runs beneath Rainbow Bridge overflows onto the edge of mossy banks and fins of treasured aquatic life quiver in anticipation of this most joyous event.
Nestled in the midst of this happy choir of Bridgekids are the littlest angel tots staring in awe at the majestic Christmas tree adorned with flowing strands of angel hair. Effervescent, twinkling stars seesaw elegantly from the sky and land in glorious harmony upon the stoic limbs of Heaven's most perfect Christmas tree.
Swaying to and fro in nearby rocking chairs are grandmothers, grandfathers, parents, aunts, uncles and loved ones. The sound of their whispered lullabies permeate the air as they sing to tiny angel babies resting quietly in their arms.
Like magic the clock approaches midnight and a great stirring is heard in the distance. Each Bridgekid stops and listens, knowing the time is near, and they choose a fleecy cloud on which to snuggle. The roar of purrs drops to barely an audible hum, the babbling brook ripples hypnotically and the flutter of downy feathered wings fall silent. Heaven's spirited toddlers climb expectantly upon the laps of angels while babies coo in tranquil unison.
Amidst the warm glow of candle light which rises from the earth below, the arms of the Bridge Keeper envelop the heavens and into the precious hands of each child and in front of each animal a holy gift is placed. With grand exuberance the ribbons are removed and left to fly on a tender breeze where they dissolve into showers of angel dust. As the golden lids of these heavenly gifts are raised, an amazing aura fills the sky, reaching down to the very core of the earth.
Special thanks to Mischief for posting this sweet tribute.
Christmas at the Rainbow Bridge
Ascending from each and every box is the greatest gift of all…unending, unconditional, all-encompassing love. This blessed love gently wraps itself around the cherished souls of heaven, warming their hearts with beacons of radiant light and bringing forth from angels an exquisite chorus.
As the clock strikes midnight the distance between heaven and earth is vanished. It is at this very moment on Christmas Eve that the Bridge Keeper, His children, angels and Bridgekids send a message to their earthly loved ones on the wings of this unbridled love.
Listening carefully with an open heart we will hear the familiar voice of our own angel whisper softly into our ear their Christmas message...
"Let me share with you this love of mine, always and forever. When you need me know that I am here. I have not left you for I am in your heart where I belong. Our love is eternal as is the brilliant glow of candlelight which illuminates the path to the heavens and Rainbow Bridge. I wait patiently as do you for our inevitable and glorious reunion.
I love you, I love you, I love you."

Well, sweet Biscuit, this will be our second Christmas without you.
I cried when I was decorating the tree tonight, seeing all your special ornaments. Baby's First Christmas. You were my first baby! All the personalized pup ornaments with your name on them. All the picture frame ornaments that held so many Biscuit memories. Remembering how you would walk over the spiky mat under the tree to get to the plush Pooh ornaments. You sure were a determined pup!
Then I found the silver engraved picture frame ornaments that I ordered just before you passed away, the frames still empty. They were supposed to have held last year's Christmas pictures of you, the Christmas we had to have without you.
Oh, Biscuit, so many things still remind us of you! I hope you know how much you were loved and are still loved! I know you're happy and at peace now, but we still miss you so!
I think you would have liked Winston. He looks so much like you! He has so many of your same habits and mannerisms. I think you sent him to us to help us love again and to help us remember you. Thank you, sweet angel pup! Merry Christmas!

Although I'm having fun in Heaven, playing with the other pups across the Rainbow Bridge, I do like to check up on my Earth family every now and then. :)
Just a couple of weeks ago, I went back and was walking around upstairs. (I was never allowed upstairs when I was on Earth!) My Mommy saw a tan dog walking by in the corner of her eye. She got all upset, thinking that Winston snuck upstairs again! That little guy is quite sneaky! BOL!
But, no, it was me!
Mommy was quite surprised to find Winston still downstairs. She knew it was me! She was so happy that I came to visit!
Some people think Mommy's hallucinating, but she doesn't care! She knows I love my family and am still around! :)
Mommy also knows that I'm telling Winston to do things I used to do, so that they'll never forget me. Winston used to squat like me, and he's a boy! And just the other day, Winston was hopping on his two back legs just like I used to do! It's a funny hop! My Mommy kept pointing to Winston and telling my Daddy, "See! That's Biscuit's hop!" My Daddy thought it was too funny!
We angel pups love our families! We are always around! XOXOXO

I love chasing squirrels! It's one of my favorite things to do!
My sister Crumpet and I cornered a squirrel once. Crumpet stood on his tail while I petted his head with my paw. I just wanted to make friends, but my mommy saw us and started yelling. Mommy startled us so much that Crumpet got off the squirrel's tail, and the squirrel ran away- fast! I think that squirrel told his friends that we were mean, because when I'm sitting on our bench under the oak tree in our backyard, squirrels will drop nuts on my head!
My daddy has a mean trick that he pulls on me and my brother Kipper. Whenever he wants us to run outside through our doggy door, he yells, Squirrel!" I fall for it every time! I think there's only a squirrel about 10% of the time, but you never know when daddy's telling the truth. Lately, when it's dark, daddy yells, "Night Squirrel!" I've never seen a Night Squirrel, and I don't know if one really exists, but I still have to check it out! Maybe one day I'll catch a Night Squirrel...
