Arrival Story:
Mirra was a puppy from a litter we bred four years ago. Though she was loved and loving, she hadn't adjusted well to her previous multi-dog household. She easily finished her championship and we started making plans for her first litter. After some serious soul searching, it was decided that she return to us to whelp the litter and perhaps remain thereafter.
Bio:
She has adjusted remarkedly well. Her pregnancy was mostly uneventful. The puppies whelped early August and by November were all happily adjusting to their new homes.
She had quite a period of adjustment to her new home. However, she picked up a connection to our adult son and has become quite his best buddy. They talk long runs in the fields and she has learned many new tricks and manners. She definitely seems much more relaxed.
Recently we added a new Corgi puppy, Willow, and the fun has begun. After an initial 'what is this?' attitude, they are becoming best friends.

Mirra became a first time mom on August 1 ! She easily whelped two boys and four girls early Monday morning! She is being a super mom and the puppies are all doing great.
