Today is my birthday!

Happy Birthday to me!

I am two today, that is about 14 in human years so I am a teenager ready to sow my oats and have a great time! I got lots of presents today a new collar for my magic collar from my Aunts at the job; they also gave me a charm that says "I sit for treats." Do they know me or not. I love Aunt Mary Ann, Aunt Pat and Aunt Carolyn they are the bestest! Aunt Kim gave me a new toy actually it was from Homer but he won't own up to it, it is a neat toy that says love (I know he likes me!). Mom bought me a new puppia harness, brown really grown up and neat and a puppy pillow, I love to sleep on a pillow. She also washed up and restuffed all my beds and they are all fresh and like new. I am still waiting for some that are coming in the mail, I sniff it every day. Lots of treats as well, come over I will share!!

Aunt Bonnie had a frosty paws party for me, Max and Cassie it was tasty and fun, and she even let me finish Cassie's! WOW I am such a....

.....Lucky dog eh! I went to mom for her therapy today and went into play with everyone. They were good but lots of the folks felt bad. I gave them some extra kisses and was very gentle. Mom said I was excellent and that made me smile! I love my therapy dog work. This week I hope to go to the new nursing home to meet the folks there. It is great work if you can get it. Mom likes it too especially since I am so good at it!

How to give your mom a heart attack on a beautiful Sunday- morning...

I am in hot water so to speak... this morning my mom wanted to go outside for some fresh air. I saw my friends Max and Cassie outside so I sat on the porch and screamed loudly so they would hear me. Mom picked me up and carried me over so I could play but I fooled everyone! I ran in the back yard into the other neighbors yard, snifed around and came back. No problem.

We then came home for some treats and played at our house, Mom put my magic collar on but Max and I were playing so hard I managed to get through on the one second delay and voila I was out and ran away again into the neighbors yard but it was BORING!! So I thought I would try the other yard and it was a beautiful farm! Only thing was I had to go across a big road, no problem for me, I am Samiam nothing can hurt me...so off I went....what is that screaming I hear, sounds like Mom and Aunt Bonnie and Uncle Sam and is Max Barking at me who cares there are cows over here and more birdies!

Wow why are all those big cars driving right towards me and making those screaching noises, and those little two wheel cars, motorcycles riding all around me, hey get out of my way I am Samiam don't you know that, don't try to run me over. heck I better get out of here this isn't too much fun after all. Where is my mom!!! I want my mom! I see Aunt Bonnie she is yelling and Max is barking at me, where is Mommy.......whew run Sammy run get home where it is safe get out of this road, don't come back here anymore....this isn't fun....

OK Aunt Bonnie has me on a leash, she isn't letting me move, she is talking really loud, I am not sure what she is saying but she isn't happy or smiling at me...here comes Mom in her car, why is she in her car? She isn't smiling either...here comes Uncle Sam in his car. he is yelling at me....wow they are mad....

Mom is taking me into the garage away from everyone and not talking....I think I am in big trouble....let's leave this diary at that....I spent the rest of the day hiding from mom under the bed, I don't want to see her face being mad at me and talking loud to me anymore...Everytime she comes in the room I hide further under there......I am sorry Mom I won't go there again!

Have you ever had a cold..

runny nose, sneezing and tired alot? Well I think I have a cold. I am snuggling with mom more than I usually do, she loves it but I am doing it just because it feels better to me. AAAAchoooo. see what I mean. I think that I am ready for bed, I am sleeping more than my 9 hours a night!

Company!

I had the most special day today! Mom got a call early that made her pop right out of bed jump in the shower and get dressed really quick, making me put on my bestest red sweater (how I hate that!). She was excited and told me we were having company.

I was outside waiting to see who it was and a nice white car drove up. Mom waited inside while I greeted the ladies and tried to help them carry lunch in (or was it really big treats for me??). Turns out that it was two of my "aunts." another Aunt Susan and Aunt Karen. Once I learned who they were I gave them my usual kisses jumps and screams hello! I was excited to say the least...

Aunt Susan is all the way from Texas and Aunt Karen all the way from Miami Florida! They were trying to get to Ithaca and their planes had to stay overnight in Philadelphia because of our ice storm so they decided to some to see little old me (and of course Mom as well!). I was so glad, Mom needed this good "shot in the arm." She was so happy to see them and talk to them about things. They gave me lots of cuddles, of course I gave them kisses and showed them all over my house and all my toys. They are really nice and I hope they will come visit me again.

Thanks Aunt Sus and Aunt Karen for making my day and my Mom's as well, we love you!

Good day...

Wow I must have really shamed my mom yesterday with my "barfblog." here........

Today she felt alot better and we cleaned our garage of all the nasty mud Mr. Car brought in and then chopped ice off the deck to get ready for the new snow coming this weekend. It was alot of fun! She chopped and threw the ice off the deck and I ran and tried to catch it. It was big and she made sure I didn't. Some of those looked like the pieces that sunk the titanic! Yes I saw the movie, I live TV remember...

After that and a brief nap (for her of course..) she packed me into the car and off we went to find my pals at the dog park. We got there and there was so much ice and muck that I stayed on the pathway which was clean. Some little curly girl bichonpoo was trying to sniff my butt so I gave her a tumble and a few sniffs licks and then just blew her off to run with the guys...

I then saw my bestest pal in the world Tucker 2! I charged over to the gate to greet him, he was with new parents which confused me but what the heck he was here! I was so excited I had to pee on two bushes! They took what seemed forever to come through the two gates and there he was, but he was ignoring me. Hey buddy it is me Samiam, what’s up??? He didn't even look my way??? I then just barged over two other little guys he was talking to and gave him a big lick and then went to the other end and sniff.....hey this wasn't Tuck...what the heck...you look like him...but you stink! My pal doesn't smell like that! What a bummer!

It is a beautiful day at the dog park, finally I get Mom off her butt and bed to get me out for a run and all we find are some stranger dogs....I am depressed, let's go home...so I hooked myself to my mom's leg and would not let go of her. She got the hint; we leashed up and got back in my car. I took the back seat and whimpered all the way to the grocery store. Where is my Tuck? Mom felt really bad, I know and tried to call Aunt Christina and Uncle Dave but they weren't home. I miss my pal!

When we got home I went over to let Max and Cassie know about my Day. Max really felt bad and took me out in the yard for a good romp in the snow. It was alot of fun and I felt better. Miss Cassie and I then had fun barking together at the other dogs walking down the street, so the day wasn't a total loss.

Thanks Mom, for trying it was a good day, now let's hunker down for a couple of snow days! Maybe we can build a snow dog???

I am so booooooorrrrrrrrreeeeeeed!

Is there anyone out there that lives in Honey Brook,PA that might want to take me for a visit? I am so entirely bored I am bored out of my gored! You see my mom visited the poison/chemo. man on Monday and she was good for a couple of days and my beloved Aunt Susan was here for those days so I had a great time. Now for the past two days we have been home alone and all she is doing is sleeping! She doesn't even cook anymore. She gets up in the morning, has some breakfast and then lays down on the couch and takes a nap.

I wake her up later so I can go out for a little run in my yard but it is cold so i don't stay out long, she let's me in, gives me a little treat, we talk for awhile and then she is tired and takes as nap! When will this end! I can't take this cabin fever anymore! Make it stop.....I can't run away because someone has to be here to watch over the house!

oh well maybe tomorrow she will be peppy again, at least I am catching up on my beauty sleep, boring!

I am a Therapy dog!

Today I became a therapy dog. My mom started her Chemotherapy or as she calls it her visit to the poison lady (today it was the poison man, Emerson!). She was a trooper and was there for five hours in a nice chair with some other ladies, one man and Sister someone. She didn't look happy and said she was cold alot but my Aunt Susan helped her alot, getting her water and some lunch. I spent most of my time in the car waiting for Aunt Susan to take me to the park and of course shopping. I had a great day I love being with her she is so much fun. She doesn't have doggies just kitties. I haven't met them yet but she tells me that they are really nice.

After we got back and Mom had only one more hour left to go, I was invited into the treatment room to spend some time with the folks there. It was nice I went and greeted everyone in the waiting room and at the front desk. They all yelled out "Here comes Sammy," when I walked in and even the doctor came by and gave me an ear tickle! They really expected me. I proudly pranced back to the treatment room and said hello to everyone giving them a sniff and a lick. They smiled so brightly the room cheered up right away!

Then I saw her dozing off in the corner, my mom! I got so excited I ran right over to her and jumped in her lap giving her lots of kissed waking her up. She was so happy to see me and everyone else was laughing at us together. I was so good, according to mom. Just sat on her lap protecting her for the rest of her time there. I watched as Emerson gave her the rest of her treatments, wow, she had alot of medicine, but she has been very very sick they tell me! When he gave her that last procrit shot, she said it really did hurt, I gave him my growl! After all I am there to protect her. She told me it was ok and Aunt Susan came over to hold me for awhile so I could show everyone how I knew how to smile and show my teeth! I think she was trying to distract me....

We went home and I made sure Mommy got all tucked in nice and warm for the evening and then went off to patrol the house and yard. With everything nice and square we all settled in with some company, Aunt Bonnie came to visit Aunt Susan. It was a fun night and everyone was telling Aunt B what a great therapy dog I turned out to be. I hope I can go to visit Aunt Bonnie's brother who is sick, I bet I can make him feel better too!

Did I tell you I am getting married?

Many of my pals caught my reference to my Fiancee Cassie in my last message. Yes I have proposed to my true love Cassie Camille Carson! She is wonderful, a curly cutie who lives nearby. Her brother Max is a pal of mine and she is a blue/brown eyed doll. I love to tease her and sometime I am mean and scare her but down deep I am madly in love. I will ask Mom to take a picture of us together so I can show you all what my doll baby looks like. She is a bunch of curls and has one blue eye and one brown. Mom and my Aunt Susan say she looks at them like she is ready to just start talking with a curious look! I just say she is beautiful. She also loves treats and bones just like me! Not sure when the wedding is....hopefully this spring....has to be soon as she is an "older lady" sixteen....I know May December but love is love and we aren't looking for any puppies.....

What a snowy day!

Wow our first real snow storm hit today and it was great fun! I woke up and really had to go outside fast but did Mom just let me run, nooooo I had to don my red Ruff jacket first, put on my paw wax and then she let me loose, out the door I ran and wham!!!

It hit me the ice and snow smack in the face, I have a new appreciation for mom's and why I have to wear my jacket. It was mighty cold out there. So I watered the closest bush checked for any neighbors I needed to say hello to (not a soul was out) and ran right back inside, didn't even need to knock Mom was there holding the door open for me! Whew it was nice to jump right back under my warm down covers in her bed (wonder why she was chasing me and saying noooooo and trying to towel me off?) Back to sleep maybe it would warm up if I slept longer.

Didn't work...still cold but my buddy Max and my fiancee Cassie came over and we had a great time playing in the snow. I made sure that Cassie went inside so she didn't get too cold and got her settled in with a nice bone to chew and then Max and I chased snow balls Mom was throwing to us. When we got tired we went inside for some nice warm play next to the fireplace while Mom and Aunt Bonnie had their coffee. I was exhausted and of course when they left I had another good long nap.

Tonight's entertainment is overseeing the snow removal on our street. I have to run, they are now doing my driveway and I have to make sure they do it right. Mom is giving the guys warm drinks and fruit in my garage, I need to check them out and make sure they are up to the job....more later.

Happy Valentine's Day!

It is finally snowing here! I am loving this. My buddies the little birdies are all over our porch. My mom spread bird seed all over the snow so that the birds don't go hungry in the snow (like they will with all the food she gives them in their feeders, but just in case....). They are all over the deck and snow. It is alot of fun to watch them and when Mom let's me out (I ring the bell so she thinks that I have to go outside to potty but really I want to play with the birdies! aren't I the clever one!) It is great fun. But now it is dark and they have all gone home to the barn next door.

Things are going well here, Mom is feeling alot better. We haven't been out of the house much these past few months since she was very sick and had an operation, but yesterday she did take me out and I saw my Aunt Mary Ann and Carolyn and Pat! It was wonderful I was so excited I jumped out of the car, which I quickly realized it was a mistake it is really cold outside! I am glad I have my warm Ruffwear coat, it is toaty and quite chic I must say.
