Arrival Story:
When I bought my first home the first thing I wanted was a doggie of my own! I really fell in love with French Bulldogs, and desperately wanted one - but it is very important to me to adopt a needy dog, and there are no rescue organizations in my area for that particular breed. My mom suggested that I get a dachshund from the same rescue organization that she got hers, and even offered to purchase one for me as a 'house-warming' gift. I got online immediately to contact some local dachshund rescue groups…that's when I came across a picture of my Max! (his name was Willie G, but I changed it) He was so cute! They said he may have some behavior problems, so I was nervous, but I took him in. He is now my baby-boy; and although he does get a little snippy around children and other dogs, he is really a very sweet doggy. I can't imagine why no one else wanted him. He has even become buds with my mom's dachshund :) Sometimes all a doggie needs is a nice, quiet, loving home! I love him so much!
