Well look what week it is on Dogster! Australian Cattle Dog Week! 'Bout time, I say! A lot of people have never heard of us. Too bad for them. We are superior canines! Just look at our Doggie Dynamics: we are smart, we are playful, we are usually pretty friendly and have tons of energy. In fact we will pull your arm out of your socket unless you want to take us for a RUN. Walks are for tiny dogs with short legs.

New Photo

Hey Everyone,
My new person keeps in touch with my old family and they got a photo of me for Christmas! As you can see, I rule! I can sleep on the bed whenever I want and all that. I got a person who takes me on lots and lots of walks and I get to come with her whenever I want, wherever she goes! I am her protector and it is a great life. Everyone is happy for me and I'm happy too. Arf!

Online radio station for dogs
The world's first internet radio station for dogs has been launched in Thailand.
DogRadioThailand.com features barking DJs playing vocal and instrumental music around the clock, reports the Bangkok Post.
Owner Anupan Boonchuen believes listening to music has an effect on canine behaviour.
He said: "I've noticed that dogs often respond to music. Some wag their tails. Some lift their heads while lying on the floor.
"At my grooming school we found that when we turned on music the dogs' mood improved. They were more obedient and let us trim their hair easily."
It is reported that ten students from the dog grooming school have been hired to work as DJs
Mr Boonchuen added: "One of the main qualifications is that he or she must be good at barking because dogs are our listeners, the DJs may have to make different sounds, such as whining or barking, to match the mood of music they play.
"And they must be able to communicate with the dogs, even if they can't see them.
Pretty cool, no? I thought so.

Restaurant for dogs and owners

A new restaurant in China allows its customers to eat at the same table as their pets
The Paradise Pet club opened to a mixed reception in Shanghai earlier this year, reports Shanghai Daily.
The menu features meals for dogs but also drinks and snacks for their owners.
It was intended just for dogs but pet owners have also been bringing along cats, rabbits and other animals.
One customer, Chen Shiyuan, said: "My pets can make friends and enjoy food particularly made for them here."
However, critics have branded the restaurant as "unhygienic" for encouraging humans and animals to eat at the same table.
Gu Zhenhua, director of the Shanghai Food and Drug Administration Bureau, said: "There is no law forbidding pets from eating with their owners.
"But I don't think it's appropriate for pets and their owners to eat at the same table in public."
However, Liu Xiaomei, the general manager of the club, said: "Public health is certainly a big concern for us.
"We disinfect our dishes three times everyday. And all the members are asked to provide a health certificate for their pets before entering the club.
Pretty good, huh?

Santa!

Hi Guys!
Hope you are all getting extra treats and love like me this time of year!
My person took me to see Santa and have my picture taken. To tell you the truth, I wasn't so keen on it, but I think she had fun.
Anyhow, she sent a photo of me and Santa to my before people who just loved it. They are so glad that I have such a nice person who takes such good care of me and has the time and likes to take me everywhere with her. It's, like, my favorite thing. I love to come along!

Hi Guys,
1000 visitors! Thanks everybody for stopping by!
My new person took me back to my old house today to get my bed. Man, I love that bed. I got to see my grand people and everything. I gotta tell you, though, my new person is sooo nice! I get lots of treats and special care and we go for nice walks. Oh yeah. The Humane Society thing worked out pretty much okay for me.
I did get kennel cough and had to stay there extra, but my new person came to see me every day. See what I mean. Best new person ever. I'm staying with her!

How is everybody!?! Good, I hope. I guess I got adopeted. I went to the Humane Society and then they never called my grandpeople back which they were only going to do if I was going to get the Bad Shot. So, sure enough, I was adorable enough for somebody to adopt me.
Was anybody really wondering? A smart, cute dog like me?

Hi Guys,
Well, I heard them say "Humane Society". I guess that means I'm going to that place. I hope a nice cow farmer comes and I can boss around some cows or something I was made for. Bark at stuff and run around without getting yelled at or anything. I mean, I'm supposed to bark when someone comes in on my territory right? They should fear me and leave, isn't that so? My grandperson doesn't like it when I scare the FedEx guy but I thought that was my job. Bring on the cows! I'll show them who's boss!

Except, I need a new home. My grandpeople are extra, super nice but they think I need a nice new home. Preferable with room to run.

I was a super rambunctious puppy, but I've mellowed out considerably.
