Arrival Story:
We took sadie in when she was 5 years old..her previous owner didnt have time to spend with her so for most of her life she was alone, that was untill we took her in. She loved being here .. she got really spoiled. Well I took her in to the Vets office to get her teeth cleaned one day.. her teeth pretty bad at that time and apparently the vet while cleaning her teeth pushed down on her teeth so hard that he injured her spinal cord (he totally denying everything, of course), he pushed them together, so from then on her vertibrea were touching each other in her neck area... Well since that day she seemed to be in a lot of pain so we took her to Vet after Vet to help her with the pain.. and all they said is we can put her on steriods to ease the pain for a while and hopefully while taking this medicine her spinal cord will heal its self.. so we took the chance and it worked!! Well little did we know that the steroids had screwed with her liver and 1 year later Sadie died of liver failure, I had found her a wonderful doctor who did all he could to help her be comfortable for that year. He gave us a whole other year with her and that year was the best year of her life. We miss her so much but now we know she isnt in ANY pain and she is happy. We will see her again!!
