Life and Times of Libby Lou

Oh we've been out chasing toads again.......

Hi Diary.......this summer is sure turning out to be an education for me.......brother and I met this new friend last week......big fat toad..well Freddie caught it and he started foaming at the mouth.....mom hauled us in the house.....washed his mouth out... it was yucko. Lucky they weren't posionus toads......Marine Toads and Colorado River Toads are deadly, so please mom says don't play with the toads/ Well we don't catch on real good, cause tonight several small and medium size toads in the back yard...and we pawed them...rolled on them....trapped them....but didn't mouth them... Mom had a fit...she made us come in......just ruined our fun.

Then last Monday she and Dad bought us a wading pool.....we are really having a great old time with it. Then yesterday morning went out, and under the bushes where Mom had dumped the water, made easy to dig mud. I had so much fun.....Mom said oh my goodness.....look at you Libby Lou......there wasn't any where that wasn't muddy except my lower back and tail....you could verily see my eyes.....So I got a bath first thing in the day.....Freddie just had his feet dirty........but he got his bath also.

We are hoping to go camping someday soon.....but don't know for sure, might wait till fall and hope it cools off some....we love to go to the new walking trail they made , and see all the people. Got to go shopping with the folks this morning.......we stay pretty busy. Been trying to mind the folks more it is hard but mom says we are doing better all the time. Can walk from the car now to the house, without them hanging on our leash.......that is unless a cat comes along...Then I forget and run after it.....sorry just can't help it. Boy Mom didn't know....

Well in Nov. mom said she though I was almost 6 pounds.......well the doctor said yester day before surgery I was only 5 pounds 3 ounces....so this is end of January........so I think she guessed wrong. I am going to be a little tyke.....I will be 8 months old the 24th..........Libby Lou

Well just got home from the hospital today.

I went into the animal hospital yesterday....and they altered me, and pulled some baby teeth, and micro chipped me. Mom stayed till I was out of surgery, they couldn't run her off...she said no I am staying till I know she is ok....I was so happy she said that...but I didn't remember after a while. But she came this morning and brought me home. Freddie and I want to play, but mom won't let us do anything accept sit on her lap to visit. But it hurts a little once in awhile when I move wrong. So Mom says later we can play again.......he sure missed me last night mom says..he was lost. I still need to sleep a little more today than usual. Mom was so happy it was over....I am so happy for her...she doesn't feel like this.......Libby Lou
