Around our neighborhood, and anywhere he can pick up a trail.

Arrival Story:
Our late dog, Butch, died about four years ago. We were all distraught, because he was the best dog we'd ever had. He was loyal and kind, gentle and obedient, everyone loved him. But, he had a tumor and unfortunately died, though six months passed when the doctor said he would. So we went a few months without a dog, then we got a German Shepherd named CJ. She was not a little girl, weighing lbs. We just couldn't keep her in our apartment. So, we eventually gave her to a friend and were once again without a dog. So, we went browsing on the net, and came up with a few dogs at a Rhode Island Shelter. There were a lot of dogs to choose from but there was a dog named Dutch that stayed in the top five or so. My mom went to the shelter, in hopes of getting a Shar Pei puppy, but they were gone by the time she got there. She nosed around looking for another dog, not wanting to come home empty handed. So, she brought home Dutch. He looked like a giant beagle, but we figured the name didn't suit him so well. He wasn't very...royal. He was mellow in the beginning, getting used to the new place, and us. We finally thought of a perfect name for him, Jordi, after a Star Trek character (My parents love Star Trek). And so he's been living with us for a few years now. We love him to death, all of us. I'm usually the one who plays with him, and pets him and spoils him, because my parents are so busy, and right now he's asleep on my bed. He just loves it here. And we love him for being here.
